Pokedex Yellow entry:
You go to your mailbox and find a letter with a pokeball attached; the letter reads:
"My dear friend, a youngster in a different town gave me this, after a 'very strange encounter with an old man' he said. He said it was dangerous, and I should be wary. So, since you are a collector of Pokemon, I thought you would like this. As mayor of your town, it'll definitely get some attention, and possibly attract visitors. Anyways, enjoy!

You remove the pokeball that was taped to the letter, and you look at it. Before you open it, you though you should research it, just to be safe. You plug it into your PC inside your mayor's house and find out its name is ▼ pゥ. There's no other information on it, other than it's dangerous. Tempted, you go over to the back of the house of a villager in your town you hate with a passion, and you throw the ball through the window. It pops open, and a mass of pixels pops out and attacks the villager. In a bloody mass, it sees you. As it locks eyes, the world freezes forever... and you awake to find yourself in the void. Your town was corrupted. Life is over as you know it........

Imagine randomly smelling a stink while you're in your house at night watching a scary Halloween movie, and then passing out from it, but before you pass out, this is the last thing you see ^

Phantump is creepy and spooky. Not the scariest appearance wise, but the concept of this pokemon certainly is. I got shivers when I read the dex entry the first time.
X: "These Pok?mon are created when spirits possess rotten tree stumps. They prefer to live in abandoned forests."
Alpha Sapphire: "According to old tales, these Pok?mon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died while lost in the forest."
Like dude these ghostly tree stumps are actually the sounds and spirits of children who died in the forest. Not only that, but in XY there appear to be a lot of them in that forest you go to, in freaking hords. HORDS. When you think about it that's a lot of dead children. And it would make sense since that forest is confusing and has many dead ends and tricks. But why would there be so many dead children in the first place? You'd think that after people started realizing things that they would prohibit their children from going in there, or move away from that place. And when you defeat the hords, you're basically just hurting the dead souls of these poor children. Even though your character knows this, you move on like everything is normal. I know it's a game but if I was in the pokemon world I would be hella creeped out, that's just not right.
Now for some pictures, I know you said I don't have to add them but I like to since they add a lot of effect to the entry. ^^
