YES. Seriously, those who haven't played AC games before ACNH have no idea... villagers could move with zero warning. Leaving the game for an extended period of time could mean you'd lose your favorite villager. Plus, you had very little input on who moved in. Unless you play with other players at times, you were limited to the campsite and Amiibo in ACNL (and I think some cards in previous games, but I never heard of those until recently) and that was... about it. Something like Nook Miles islands, and the ability to invite random villagers from them and go "hunting" for villagers, was unimaginable for players like me!That villagers need an okay before they move. So this way if something takes me away from the game for a while I'm not going to risk coming back and someone I wanted to stay has left.
It's so weird how ACNL was such a GIGANTIC improvement from City Folk (I just realized I keep saying "City Living" but that's SimsI love New Leaf, but I do agree with everyone here. I especially love the graphics and creativity that you can do with your island.
Superior answer.Raymond
Honestly the graphics of Nl is what keeps me from buying the game again. It's only 20 dollars now but something about Nh..is just amazing. Nl was good for it's time but Nh is pretty..The graphics alone made this game superior.
I don't see myself playing New Leaf anymore. In fact, I clocked more hours in New Horizons than New Leaf.
I also love the part where you can't risk losing a villager due to inactivity.
I love the use of the word crunchier. I looked at old photos of nl..and it's fuuuzzzythe graphics... i went back to new leaf to get references for something and WOW it's WAY crunchier than i remember. in comparison NH is just so pretty and smooth.
Oh yeah it's way bigger,, villagers houses take up less space too.I'm surprised nobody has said the sheer size of your island yet...picture how much smaller your NL village was compared to this...
Omg yes we have so much space yet I still fill up my pockets!!Pocket space. After NH came out, I went back and played my old Wild World and New Leaf towns, and especially in WW the limited pocket slots made things like picking fruit or fishing so much more tedious.
I love the Nh music. I loved only a handful of nl musicNH music >> NL music. New Leaf never sounded like an animal crossing hand to me.
