Before I go over the wishlist, I would like to bring the bad news. After the earthquake, the direct has been delayed. I don’t know when we’re getting one, but it’s gonna be a while before it comes.

2018 has been a pretty violent year for the Earth’s natural forces. After the year of celebrity deaths came in two years of natural disasters, with Hurricane Harvey being the worst. Hawaii was hit by a hurricane too, following the volcanic eruption that happened four months ago. It also left major concerns about the upcoming big one that will strike California. Two big ones, actually. One coming from the Cascadia subduction zone, and one in the LA area (I believe it is the Puente Hills fault that would cause the damage, but many speculate it’s the San Andreas fault that would do it). If they strike, not only that would cost California much more than the Civil War costed America, but that would have a negative impact on the whole world. Most of these tech companies are headquartered in California, and if any major disaster hits them, we won’t have internet for a while, at least no Facebook, Google, or Twitter. It’s also a major economic contributor to the US, and a strike would slow down our nation’s economy. The more seismic activity that occurs, the more we are sure that the Big One is going to hit within the next few years.

Now time to move away from the bad news. As we are aware that a general Nintendo Direct is on our way, we know that more 3DS and Switch titles are going to be announced. Here’s what I wish for in the upcoming direct:

  • Remakes of older Mario titles - although Miyamoto decided not to remake older Mario titles like Nintendo did with older Zelda titles, I still wish for 3D Mario remakes.
  • N64 Classic Edition - another major thing I wish for is the N64 Classic Edition, or a N64 Mini. We got the NES Mini and the SNES Mini. We might get a N64 Mini or even a GameCube Mini. The one game I truly wish that makes it to the N64 Mini is Pokemon Stadium. I will be disappointed if Pokemon Stadium doesn’t get there.
  • New Animal Crossing Game - ah, the one thing we all hoped for. Normally, I would be more patient with Nintendo if no new AC announcement comes, but this time, even I want to hear more details on the new Animal Crossing game on the Switch. The last thing we want is another game like City Folk (I believe Welcome Amiibo is ACNL’s City Folk) or another spin-off like amiibo Festival. But then again, the longest break we had between two true new AC titles is approximately 8 years (I didn’t count City Folk as a true new AC title since it’s basically Wild World with grass decay).
  • More Mario Kart 8 Deluxe racers - I want Eevee. If Mario Kart has Zelda and Animal Crossing characters, I would like Pokemon characters as well, especially Eevee.
Pretty much everything I wish for may not be realistic for an upcoming direct, but this is what I want. Anyway, I’m glad Nintendo cares for the victims and makes it fair for everyone, so no direct today.

I can hardly see Eevee being playable in a Mario Kart game lol

Also that thing about earthquakes possibly happening in Cali, I remember learning about that when that major earthquake happened in Japan back in 2011. That's when I learned about the ring of fire, and the fact that the only place there hasn't been an earthquake is along our West coast. Hopefully the companies over there have a plan for this.
