it can happen. I had it happen to me but it was a fake art. i forgot from who and base on who you maybe get both real or fake or allways fake stuff.

Yes! There’s a datamine that shows the guy villsgers are able to mail art! Depending on the personality, they can mail either real or fake paintings and statues! I believe smugs will always mail fake. I can’t remember for the rest, but I’ve gotten a real statue from rizzo who is a cranky before

I got a real Motherly Statue weeks ago by Audie (my favorite villager in my island)
I was like:
Me:*sees my mailbox blinking*
Mailbox:Read what is in here!!!
Me:*sees Audie's letter and read it*
Audie's letter: blah blah blah blah blah
Me:*sees the attached present*
Still me:*looks at my pocket and open it then sees the motherly statue*
Me again: bruh I'm sure this is fake -_-
Of course me: *displays the statue and sees that it's real*
Dumb me: OM^G!!!!! This is ***** real!!!! Am I dreaming?! OM^^^G!!! Thank you bestie (Audie)!!! Ur the best!!!

Dude i did the same. Lol I couldn't believe a newer lazy villager just sent me a legit statue. Outta nowhere.

I love it when villagers actually contribute to your town. In New Leaf, Wolfgang gave me a genuine painting once which I appreciated a lot. I now imagine him as an avid art collector. Haven't had anyone mail me art in New Horizons yet.

I was able to get the elusive Great statue thanks to Rolf. I've gotten several genuine art from others as well. Though I noticed statues are more common than paintings.

Few months ago, Octavian mailed me a real statue. So, a villager giving or mailing you a piece of art can happen, whether it is real or fake.

My Villagers often mailed me arts, wether it's real or fake. I got 3 real arts from them! And I think I got 4 fake arts? It's really handy some times, and it just made me happy! I wonder why or how they got the arts, did they buy from Redd?
