This may be moved to the TBT HQ, but I think it's appropriate since it pertains to TBT Marketplace.

I'm making a proposal- that everyone buys TBT bells for the same price. Some people may object to this, but it would make the TBT bell economy much more stable. I'm not going to type this all out, as I'm on a small device right now, but I will update it later.

Okay, as for the prices, we need to agree on one, for once and for all. Maybe it's just me, but I personally think that increments of 99k are easier to pay with than with 100k. Would you rather pay with 9x 99k bells bags and then get another 9 k to make an even 900k? I wouldn't. I'm suggesting that we establish a price that everyone can agree with, which also provides as much efficiency and effectiveness as possible. Anyways, instead of 100-800k per 100 bells, use increments of 99k (because bell bags can be dropped as 99k each.)

Now. For the prices, I am proposing the following:

495k (5 bags)=100TBT
594k (6 bags)=100TBT
693k (7 bags)=100TBT
792k (8 bags)=100TBT
891k (9 bags)=100TBT

Let me know what you guys think!

you should also consider the trips, i mean, i used to do 1 trip to buy 200 tbt (1,600,000) and i think the best option here is 495k, that way you can buy 300 tbt in 1 trip, the rest couldnt fit in 1 trip...

5 bags seems very reasonable, but of course those who sell won't want that, they'd prefer the highest one ._.

Eh, I don't think this idea will work.
If most people agreed on, let's say, 495k per 100 tbt bells, who's to stop someone from posting a thread offering 600k per 100 tbt? Then, obviously the people looking to sell their tbt bells will only want to sell to that person instead of everyone else. Then, because all the tbt bell sellers are selling to that one person, others will start offering 700k, 800k, 900k... and everything will be back to the way it was before.

What I'm trying to say is, there's absolutely no way you can force every member to buy or sell their tbt for a certain price. That's like telling everyone in the retail board that they can only sell 7-11 sets for 2m.

I bought and sold under the assumption that 100 TBT was worth 800k. I obviously would prefer it to stay 800 but... at the end of the day it's really just about taking a flying f**k at a rolling doughnut. I'm loosey goosey with items ,bells and tbt. So hey, whatev

You can fit 27 bags in one trip.

16 in inventory
10 in mail slots
1 in money slot

That's why I used to pay 891k per 100. I could fit 27 (9x3) bags in one trip, which is just enough for 300 TBT

This, pretty much.

You can set guidelines that some people might follow. But there is always going to be someone who finds a way to make a better deal out of it and breaks your structure completely. Regardless I'm interested in seeing what everyone does with this. Would be very cool to see TBT bells have a value that increases and decreases over time.

I'm aware of this. But if we work together to all buy at the same price, we can slowly establish a definite exchange rate. If we all work together, then new members won't know what the old exchange rate was, and they will stay around the same price range. Some people may raise the prices, but if the big TBT buyers (Me, BiggKitty, ShinySandwich, Reverie, etc.) All agree on a price, we can keep competitive pricing out.

haha I used to buy tbt bells until the prices went way up... I think 495k for 100 tbt is pretty fair and it's a pretty good idea but some people will just raise it back up and get all the bells for themself D:

It is an idea that should be tried, not dismissed out of hand. I do however believe there will be wannabe buyers who quite possibly have no idea there are some sort of guidelines in place who will set a price above what they see in the forum in a bid to get the trade.

Perhaps the admins would be good enough to allow us to have a sticky thread making the suggestion that would be buyers keep to a suggested price and explaining the reasoning behind such suggestion. If that is ignored, perhaps it could be tactfully suggested they read the sticky and act accordingly.

Surely no one really wants to pay out more money that necessary, there seems to be a ever ending stream of players wanting to trade in their TBT bells, I can't help feeling that everyone could be satisfied as long as the odd over zealous individual is kept under control.

I can't speak for the rest of the staff, but I don't agree with forcing prices on everyone. I think that if people want to set their own rates they should be given the chance to. Be it they are extremely lower or higher than what everyone else is doing.

Whenever everyone can agree on a price for the time being. ^~^

Truthfully, 5 bags seems entirely too little in comparison to what it has grown to now (at 9 bags). 6 or 7 would be better to drop it.

It's better to keep it lower because then people who want to. Buy small amounts of TBT bells for username change or something won't have to spend millions.
Like shinysandwich said it's also less trips when the price is lower. Also the price could always increase or decrease depending on our agreement at the moment,

It was 200k when I joined. People have destroyed the exchange rate.

I'll be honest, it feels like you guys are setting up a monopoly. So I kinda agree with Gallows, let people price as they please: at least that's just my opinion. TBT is a free market after all. It's kinda like how you Flop wanted to pay ungodly amounts of tbt for a white feather and people were criticizing on why you were paying so much. Well..because you wanted to.
