My life will never be the same from now on

Actually I'm playing ACNL in English, which is not my mother tongue. It can be quite challenguing sometimes, but you learn a lot of new stuff everyday. It's also interesting to compare villagers' names in different languages XD

Funny fact I noticed: the nicknames and catchphrases remained in French (which makes sense but is still funny), and some letters are also still in French ^^

I don't have Deutsch in the language settings which upsets me.

I never knew it would do that to your game! O: Now I must try. xD I don't know any languages that well but I know some French so I'm gonna try that. xD

Anybody know if there is a way to hack the 3DS for more languages?

I really want to play my Animal Crossing game in German but apparently I'm not in the right region for that? The only options are English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, and if I change my region I might mess everything up.

my main language is spanish, but i play in english because cyrus's name in spanish is al, and reese's is paca... come on. even by itself, paca is an awful name

i'm used to playing everything in english, because usually (or at least some time ago) the available spanish was the one spoken in spain and i don't like that one

i'd like to try playing new leaf in french eventually. i can only speak or write very basic things and i'm bad at listening, but i find it extremely easy to read. that, and i have pretty much memorized all the dialogue ahah, so it wouldn't be too hard. my sister pretty much learned english because of videogames, so it could also help me learn the language faster, maybe

item and villager names would be a bother though :{ that's also why i don't play it in spanish, since bigger communities are usually in english. translating item names or looking them up would be easy, but its better if i can avoid that

Paca sucks, indeed xD If you ever try to play in French, then bon courage !

Only ever play in english (even tho my native tonges are french and german) but this is actually an excellent idea for learning languages! Maybe I should switch my game to spanish, that… might be fun. And exhausting x)

My mother tongue is Russian, i'm fluent in Dutch as I live in the Netherlands but I only and ONLY play my games in English. Very educational and beneficial, definitely since English is very important at schools and the level can be pretty high.

I remember switching my language to Spanish for New Years to get the 12 Grape Plate. It wasn't too bad since Spanish is somewhat straightforward so it wasn't difficult.
