I caught all the bugs, and donated what I thought was the last one. Blathers didn't say anything about completing the bug section. I began freaking out because I thought I'd have to wait another year to get a bug I missed. I looked in the museum and found out I was missing the dreaded Petaltail Dragonfly. Thank GOODNESS you can still catch it in September! That bugger!

Have you had any heart racing moments in what is supposed to be a relaxing game?

Only when my game took way longer than usual to load once, and I thought my file was corrupt. Catching everything in the game was pretty exciting, though :3 I can just catch things for fun on my mayor now, which is nice (and I have almost all the badges now, which I'm super happy about).

Oh goodness, my game has done that too. I thought my town was done for. Congratulations on the badges!

I had one moment a couple of years back when I adopted Shep from someone on here. I time traveled to the next day to get Shep's plot, and it wasn't there! I began freaking out, and messaged the person wondering what happened. Thankfully, they hadn't time traveled yet, but they told me that Shep's house said "moved out". They told me to try TT'ing forward another day, and I did, and Shep's house showed up. Phew. But that was probably the scariest moment I ever had playing Animal Crossing.

The same exact thing happened to me 2 days ago. I caught my last bug (the ant) and donated it to Blathers but he didn't congratulate me completing the bug exhibit. It turns out I'm missing the Longhorn Beetle which can be caught at the island.

The tarantulas scare the heck out of me, AND I didn't manage to catch one before the end of August, and I don't TT regularly, so I'm gonna have to wait almost a year to finish my museums... aaaaa

I can't find a petaltail dragonfly anywhere!!! My most recent heart-stopping moment was when I walked out of my house and could see my first scorpion scuttling in the background. Didn't have my net on me and was too afraid of the thing anyway.

just recently, for the first time, i had a villager show up at my house completely unannounced. i was in one of my side rooms, when the camera suddenly changes and i see timbra yelling something like

"KC! Come on out! Are you hiding? I can hear you hiding!"

she continues to invite herself to my house. not that i mind, but..

one of these days, this girl is gonna give me a heart attack.

Something similar happened to me with the deep sea creatures. I TT to march to catch the spider crab because I thought it was the last one I needed. I caught it, took it to Blathers and he didnt say a thing about completing the list. Checked the list a lot to see wtf was happening and I realized I was missing the damn seaweed >.>

But that wasnt the worst moment in my game. The worst that still hunts me was when I was trying to catch the scorpion. I was about to catch it, I had it just in my hand, I striked my attack with my net and I saw something weird, I caught something but wasnt the scorpion because it was still there ready to attack me. For a moment I thought there was two of them and then I realized...a damn MOSQUITO that was flying near by and I ignored it, just flew between my net and the scorpion just in the moment I striked my net. Obviously the scorpion wasnt happy at all and I ended up passed away thanks to its attack. Took me a while to believe what was the most ridiculous crap I lived in this game, I just couldn't believe it.

My heart skipped a beat when... I thought I lost my cartridge and searched hours for it. I finally found it 5 hours after searching beneath my sofa.

Only when trying to catch certain fish or bugs, really. The tarantula does scare me, I'm terrified of spiders in real life so when I saw it for the first time this year by complete accident and it ran off the cliff, my heart was in my stomach for a moment. Have a similar feeling whenever I would be able to hear it but not see it....really made my heart skip

My heart skipped a beat when I saw my first tarantula too. It was by the plaza and I could've caught it without any problem, actually, but I freaked out and it ended up hiding in the flowers, so I didn't want to risk being bitten by it. Eventually it simply disappeared, although it took me some minutes to realize that, since I was still on guard in case it jumped out of nowhere, lol.

'Oh, mayor Katsu...'

I freak out thinking a villager is moving out until she goes on and it turns out she just wants to talk about the Bug-Off or something. That's scared me a good number of times in the past!

Catching sharks is pretty intense too.

Yep when I accidentally turned off my 3ds when my town was loading and I was so sure my town was going to be corrupted but it didn't, thank god.

my heart skipped a beat when i lost the game for a week or two, only to find it in the bottom of my backpack, must've dropped it in there. i was so sad, i worked so hard on everything.
