My hate for Leila has grown stronger.

I always disliked Leila because she would pay extremely low prices for things I sold her. But it wasn't really that big of a deal, because I had no reason to sell to her anyway.

Until now.



There's an error in this initiative. It doesn't actually mean spend, it means earn 150 bells by selling stuff to her.

Anyone who knows Leila knows that this is a near impossible initiative. But I thought that if I was given this initiative, it must mean that Leila has been updated and that she will pay reasonable prices for things.

So I went to the island.

I grabbed three white flowers and sold them to Leila. You see that 6/150 on the initiative? That's how much money I got for three flowers.

So this proves two things. First, this initiative is almost impossible, and it isn't worth all that effort for one MEOW coupon. This initiative shouldn't be in the game.

Second, it shows that Leila pays way too little Bells for the items you sell her. I would have completed the initiative easily if it said to sell 150 Bells worth of items to Reese instead.

So my hate for Leila has grown stronger.

One big beetle seals the deal for that initiative. Sure, it's at least 8k going to waste, but it's just one beetle.

I never sold to her as soon as I heard that she doesn't pay much for what you give her. I don't know if it's just me, but I haven't been having much trouble gaining MEOW coupons, however that could just be because I haven't spent them on much of anything and i'm saving them up for when the sanrio villagers are released but the tasks are daily, so even if you can't manage this task you can always wait or timeskip to the next day for another task. Also, every time you scan in an amiibo Wisp gives you 5 MEOW coupons, so i'd recommend doing that a couple times to earn some quick coupons.

while leila doesn't buy much for MOSTof your bugs / fishes, you can simply catch a coconut / banana palm tree bug and easily sell it to her above 150 bells. she's pretty young, but at least she recognizes rare stuff when she sees it. cut her some slack!

I wouldnt do that initiative solely because of how long it takes to get to the island in the first place. And then having to go to gyroid to get a rod/net, catch something then go back for just one coupon is ridiculous and not fun.

The word "earn" confused me about this initiative too. I know what you mean about getting annoyed at this particular initiative. What I did was collect every single shell on the beach and sold it to Leila. After that, sell some fruit and a couple cheap beetles/fish/bugs and you'll get 150 bells quite quickly that way. It's amazing how quickly hermit crabs and the lil' bugs that scamper about on the sand add up. You can also try going on a tour and shaking a bunch of trees, then collecting the fruit and selling it to Leila? There's no need to give her a golden stag to hit 150!
