My first time island hopping! But not looking for anyone in particular 😉

The last time I wanted to hop I got Beau on my first try, so that was nice.

When I Island hop, I just look for villagers that I find cute/wouldn't mind having on my Island for a while.
If I were to get anyone super popular (like Raymond or Audie), I'd get them too just to trade them down the line.
I did find Sherb on one of my tours and instantly fell in love though so he's staying.

The other villagers I recruited:

Norma
Erik
Wolfgang
Boyd
Octavian

There were a few that I didn't care for at all but, overall, I'm happy.
I'm waiting for someone to ask me to move out to do it again.

im saving up NMT rn for island hopping when my next villager moves out. Hoping I get another Dreamie.

ahhh I don't like raymond but seeing people pass on him when they find him on island tours hurts my soul
you're basically waving goodbye to 600nmt lol
but that's just me being greedy I guess. whether I like them or not I'm always excited to find a popular villager at random because I know im gonna make them fat stacks lol.

island hopping is an extremely fun mechanic tho, and i wish nmt didnt cost so much so it didnt feel like i's burning money when I go on tours. getting a randomly generated villager (and also a chance of a hybrid island) is thrilling to me and why I loved the campsite so much in new leaf

I used around 20 NMT today and found some adorable villagers. I really wished I could have invited several: Lolly (on my 2nd ticket), Merengue, Molly, Dom, and Big Top all stood out to me, but I wound up inviting Erik because I don't have any Lazy villagers and I feel like he fits in with my island's natural theme.

I was shocked by how many cute villagers I found though!

Ahh, I want to do it so badly. I dont TT when there is an upgrade/construction schedule to the next day, but tomorrow I will definetly TT someone out and look for cool villagers!!

I'm really glad to be able to read everyone's experiences with island hopping! I went in just for fun and the thrill of seeing what the game throws my way. I was super tempted to pick up Shep who's such a darling boi, but I'm glad I hung in there and kept hopping, because on my 23rd ticket I found someone I was NOT expecting, and my heart immediately swelled with immense joy.

I mentioned this in my OP post that I would be pretty ecstatic if I were to come across Lily for my Henry ❤ or Carrie for Walt but I didn't have my hopes up too high given the RNG of the islands, but man the sheer happiness and surprise I felt when I saw that motherly Kangaroo...

I used to dislike the kangaroos until NL introduced Walt (to me, there is no such thing as a Rooney ugh he's so ugly imo don't understand why he's not a jock or why he exists to begin with) and I fell in love with Walt. His design totally appeals to me. He was one of my original starters in NL and he's still living in my town to this day...and now, he has joined me for my getaway island life.

The female kangaroos, on the other hand, none of them were ever appealing or interesting at all. They all look so weird, especially Marcie until Carrie returned to the series. For some reason I was really charmed by her, maybe it's because she seems like such a good, caring, gentle mama, plus in my headcanon I couldn't help but think of her as Walt's wife and the little joy in her pouch is their precious (yet mischievous!) son ❤ that idea is just so cute to me! Not only that but she totally makes me think of the Pokemon Kangaskhan!

And so I invited her, no hesitation, no regrets. Thank you, my island hopping adventure, for giving me sweet mama Carrie. I believe I have now secured all my dreamies ❤❤❤❤

Whenever I island hunt I never really have a specific villager I'm seeking maybe just a personality type, I've encountered many good villagers on islands such as Audie, Mitzi, Fang, Ruby, Stitches!

I'm far too lazy and easily impressed to go serious island-hopping. Just yesterday my glitched Penelope house was gone, so I went ahead and hopped to an island to see what I would get, expecting to move to a few islands before settling on someone (preferably a cranky).

First island, I got Marina. I mean I can't pass her up, I love her so much. I love every villager so much but Marina's just an obvious cutie, y'know?

However, Alice is moving out within the next two days, so I'll have another chance to island hop. Cross my fingers I'm not so impulsive, maybe instead I'll shop around for someone brand new or extra interesting, or get lucky with someone like Judy or Rooney who I really love.

did you say your looking for rooney the blue kangaroo because he is in boxes on my island!

I was really after a Snooty today, and while I had other options on this list to settle for of all different personalities, I was going for either Diana or Whitney. Got Whitney on my 49th ticket.

It took a little over 7 hours.

Before I didn't know much about her, but I saw here in her house when she was crafting on someone else's island, and I knew I had to put her down as an option for my snooty.

Some notable villagers I saw were
#22 Lily, #28 Ankah, #37 Stitches, #47 Olive, #48 Zucker, and of course #49 Whitney.

Rudy is the only villager I forgot to record, and although I had him as a settle on my list, I had more tickets that I wanted to try before I settled for anyone. He was either late 30s or early 40s.

I didn't want to create a new thread, so here are my island hopping for the day. I was looking for Tom, Ankha, Lucky or Pietro, but a lot of others would do.

First island got Ribbot. I like him a *lot* but I didn't want another jock, and it was the first island! I wanted the fun to last!

So, I kept going. For some reason, I got a LOT of chickens. I am not interested in any of them.

I found Aurora and Zucker! I don't really like them, so kept going. Then after some, found Filbert! He is cute, but I got a squirrel already.

Then I found someone who was really hard to pass: Hugh. I didn't know him, but he was adorable, we clicked, I was imagining him in my island. He did heterochromia before it was cool! But I had to pass, I already have two lazy villagers.... Hugh I'm so sorry...

Then *more chickens*, I was running out of NMTs. So, I found Blaire. I couldnt remember her name right away, but I recalled her design. And I was looking for a snooty. But... I passed. I kind of regret that. Found Dobie, I like him a lot, but I have Wolfgang. Gayle, I didn't need a normal and I don't like alligators. So... Final ticket, Marina. I have Octavian already, and I don't need a normal, but it was better than a random that could be *another* chicken.

So, it was a sad adventure, but I will work hard this week to get more NMT to keep looking!
