My Brother + The Internet.

Recently my Brother has been getting violent over one thing: Me having two tabs open on Firefox. He claims that he can't play on his PS3 at all when I'm on the internet, so when I have two tabs open he does one of three things:
1) He'll keep hitting me until I turn off my laptop.
2) He turns off my laptop by pressing the power button.
3) He takes my laptop and tries to smash it.

In doing this he is preventing me from doing my Homework, but when I tell my parents they tell me to just stay off my laptop and let him play on his PS3...My Brother is twelve and he Plays CoD and other similar games, before he started playing them he was nicer to me but now he's violent and, as mentioned before, hits me.

I've mentioned this to my parents but they don't care, afterall they were the ones who bought him the PS3. My parents have seen some of the bruises, but they think that I'm causing them, they believe that I've started Self-harming so now they refuse to talk to me.

Sorry for wasting your time but I had to post this up somewhere, since you guys don't know my brother you probably won't care, but I had to get this out of my system, especially since my parents don't care.

It sounds slightly like you blame the game for the violence... however I have a logical thought. Your brother is about to be a teenage boy.

How do you handle it? Um well I really don't know if you can, see if you can convince your parents to get faster internet, if not only go on it in places where he can't get to you and your laptop. If it seems like you aren't home then it is better cause then he can't blame you

Are you saying that he can't play his PS3 because your home only has one internet access point? Or does he really think that your web browsing interferes with his ability to play his PS3 (presumably online)?

Heh. Before i got Faster internet, It was my brother and my mom watching Korean movies online 8D. I suggest to your parents that you should get faster internet, It'll help all of you guys.

My internet does this to when im on the computer with internet connected to it i can't play mia Xbox 360 online so i have to unhook the dsl from the modem then hook it up in there (I have two modems)

I have a case of this. At my family's Christmas party my brother was going to hit my sister in the face(My brother has anger issues and hits people for no good reason). So I had to put a headlock on him and K.O. him.

But yeah if I had a brother/sister who was doing that (only child Ftw) I would do something like the other people are saying. Open a ton of tabs on some big page, then hide the computer. Just for revenge sake....then I would tell my parents to get better internet....Or I'd hit the little twerp. Either.or.

And you aren't standing up for yourself, you've got to do that.
He tries to punch you, block his fist and rooster kick him.
He tries to turn off your laptop, unplug his PS3 and let him figure out how to plug it back in.

Or just hide in a locked room, download a crapload of stuff, open lots of tabs, and mess up whatever he's doing.

Or get him a Super Smash Bros. game and watch him rage over the non-bloodiness and non-goriness.

Stand up for yourself, he's 12, you're what--17? 19?
This should be easy.

By the way, this is a great opportunity to real life troll, about the hiding in a locked room and stuff.

And your parents value a bloody (get it?) game over your education?

I have the perfect soloution. Tell your brother how to hack his ps3 the way that makes it broken, then he will cry and you can slap him and tell him RuneScape is better.
