I'm sorry it's so long, I like to type a lot...
So I had everything planned out for my town and who was going to live in it: 2 Normal, 1 Peppy, 1 Cranky, 1 Snooty, 1 Lazy, 1 Uchi, 1 Smug and 2 Jocks. I was on my way to get the last villager I wanted, Lolly, when I realized that after getting someone to adopt my previous villager I had gotten an unwanted move-in in the form of Winnie. There was nothing particularly wrong with Winnie except that she kept me from getting Lolly. This was before the update, when it became easier to kick villagers out, but even with the update, I don't have Lolly's card so I couldn't kick her out anyway. I tried for months to kick Winnie out but the dreaded last move-in just would not leave. So I decided that instead of going even crazier trying to get her to leave without any luck, I'd let one of my older villagers go. I decided to go with the one I had least attachment to, the Smug. I got him because he was cute, because I needed one and because he was free- but I never could warm up to him. So I let him go and moved Lolly in (FINALLY!) and as soon as I did, Winnie pinged to leave so of course I said yes.
But now... I have a spot for a 10th villager. I hadn't thought about letting the Smug go so I never thought about who would replace him. I don't know which villager to get. I don't have access to any of the new amiibo and even though I was hoping for a Sanrio character, I read that you couldn't adopt them from other people so I gave up on that... I don't think I'll be buying any new amiibo cards either, so unless it's different from the Sanrio characters and you can adopt the Welcome Amiibo villagers from others, I don't think I'll be able to get any of them. I've been looking through the list of villagers and I honestly don't know who to pick.
SO! I thought maybe I'd ask if anyone has any suggestions! Who are your favorite villagers? Maybe villagers that don't get a lot of love or recognition, little known or unpopular ones, interesting looking ones- whatever! Why do you like them? I don't care to have the most popular villagers, as I have a few and I have unpopular ones I love just the same. I am also only missing smug personality, but he doesn't have to be a Smug. I'm really just looking for ideas and suggestions- I don't know!
