Musical instruments in New Leaf

So has anyone else noticed that when you walk up to a musical instrument, WITHOUT there being any music playing in the room, and mash A at a decently fast pace, it plays a tune similar to Pachelbel's Canon in D? Maybe I'm crazy, but I hear it every time.
And I love it.​

It plays random notes every time. How could that be similar?

It plays random notes in a group that harmonizes with the note in the song. It changes keys every second or so, to play another group of random notes. Like I said, mash it FAST.
