Which is why I asked...
Why use such strong language? Obviously, not everyone "adores" her...
Unless you mean Lady Madonna, a song by the Beatles, I disagree with you. Tastes differ, I don't care for Madonna.Snoopdogga said:Madonna is timeless.Bulerias said:Snoop, "everyone adores"?

Oh yeah, man. There are always those "musical periods" when you venture into unfamiliar musical territory, but the problem is, a lot of youngsters nowadays do just that. They don't listen to any music they'll like for years to come. They listen to what's "cool", what's "hip"...Bulerias said:Quote for the win, here.Shadow_] [quote="Bulerias said:Good music stays with you for the rest of your life... that's what makes it good.
Sometimes my tastes change a little, like I was a little funk or jazz, but I always enjoy my classic rock. Beatles, Queen, Toto, The Who, even the piano rock pioneers Billy Joel and Elton John, Led Zeppelin, are all going to remain eternally in my MP3 player

I beg to differ. Classic rock isn't the only thing that can last forever... I've listened to Relient K and Flatfoot 56 ever since I heard them the first time, which was somewhere around 8-10 for Relient K, and I'll most likely listen to them when I'm like 40 xDTheGremp said:Oh yeah, man. But honestly, who cares what's "in"?
All I know is that my children will be growing up in a household where lots of different music will play, pretty much 24/7. The Beatles, Paco de Lucia, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Joe Hisaishi, Gerardo Nunez, Vicente Amigo, Queen, Pizzicato Five, Savia Andina, Michael Tariverdiev, a ton of Russian music, classical music, etc etc etc...
This is music I've been listening to for my entire life, and I don't think that's going to change in the years to come. This is the timeless stuff.

ok... please tell me where I said that. I didn't. Last time I checked, Bul was the one saying mainstream rock sucked.only_half_evil333 said:I actually like one or two songs by green day and fall out boy.
Gremp.. So what your saying is all mainstream music sucks. Isn't that a bit stereotypical? Just because two or three bands suck doesn't mean all do. I'm not saying I like it, but some of it is good. You can't just say that it ALL sucks because you have a different taste in music and you were brought up different.
Personally, I like Anti-Flag, Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, The Killers, Sum 41, Breaking Benjamin, Incubus, Foo Fighters.
Foo Fighters is a bit mainstream and it doesn't suck, same with Weezer.
No offense to you but your putting your opinion above everyone else like they don't matter. Just because a band is mainstream doesn't necessarily mean its horrible.
Bul, I agree with you 100% Music I've been listening to has been with me for atleast 3 years. Honestly, I hate rap, hip-hop etc. Its pointless, sexist, and has no instrumental music to it whatsoever.
I'm talking about mainstream rock... the kind that's horrible any way you look at it.
Mainstream rock today is... obviously different.
And you just freakin' reaffirmed my point... mainstream rock sucks.
Bulerias said:Ooooh, I guess I stereotyped a little here too...
I guess not all main stream music sucks. I like one or two songs by ]
Honestly? Wow... I hate Linkin' Park, most of there songs are just blah.. and go right through my brain..
I'd have to say my favorite band of all time is Race the Sun. I don't know a single person who has heard a song of theres.
I just hate people who go with whats "in" instead of being themselves. I honestly started crying of laughter when people did the the Soulja Boy(or whoever he is) dance in gym. People seriously care way to much of what others think of them.
<3HARMONiC DiSTORTiON said:I can agree with Bulerias. I'm not fond of how many people only listen to two or three groups that are completely mainstream. While on the other hand, a group of people are completely against mainstream. There needs to be people who listen to what they can get, and what sounds good to them. Finding a true good song (a band at that) is very difficult. The instrumentation has to sound pleasing. So do the vocals. Also, the lyrics are important to whether or not the song is good. Songs that mean something and sound good are the ones that will stick with us for time to come.
