Mushroom question

So...mushrooms are in season now, right? For some reason I haven't seen any on my island. I have a few fruit trees that have room around them but the rest of my town doesn't have room to spawn them, so maybe thats why? I also don't have any cedar trees (only fruit, bamboo, and palm). Has this happened to anyone else? I'm just so confused. Also do mushrooms spawn on mystery Islands?

They do not spawn on islands from what my gf said. Are you using pathways around your trees? They wont grow unless theres some sort of diggable ground around them

I've had mushrooms grow near my pine trees and regular trees on dirt, sand and grass. And I've found 1 by my fruit trees

Yeah most of my island is heavily decorated and there is no dirt around the fruit trees to spawn mushrooms, however I have around 6-9 fruit trees in a line with nothing underneath them (no paths, flowers, furniture, etc) but no mushrooms have spawned.

edit: maybe they don't spawn around fruit trees, only regular trees and pine trees?

I've found them by my fruit trees before. I have them behind my house so it's the first place I check. Do you have pictures to share of some of your trees?

According to this guide, mushrooms spawn only near non-fruit trees. I can also confirm this from my experience so far in the month.

I don't mean to contradict Jetser_halo, but I've heard that they only spawn around non-fruir trees. And so far, that's been my experience with them as well. I've never seen any by a fruit tree. Again, maybe it is possible and I just haven't seen it happen.

Thanks guys, that would make sense based on my experience too. From my understanding mushrooms were suppose to spawn starting November 1rst, and its Nov 9th and I haven't seen a single one on my island (also assuming you're suppose to get 5 per day). I guess I'll have to plant some temporary non-fruit trees to grow mushrooms

Maybe this vid can help too. But in my experience, no mushrooms near fruit trees; only on cedars, regular trees and stumps.

I could have missed it and or picked up weed instead. oops. But I wish you luck on finding a mushroom. Maybe you need more regular trees and pine trees?

You're welcome! And you're correct - five mushrooms spawn per day. I have only seen one mushroom spawn around each tree/stump, so it's probably safest to plant at least five temporary cedar/hardwood trees.
