Muffy and Peanut's argument

I got the dialogue again.

I didn't post the whole thing since I could only post 4 images in one go, but it basically ends with Peanut forgiving them.....because Muffy convinced her to start a new trend. Yes. THAT is what it took to get Peanut to appologize. Seriously this is WHY I prefer Uchi over Peppy. It's not the designs. It's stuff like this!

Muffy is one of my favorite villagers, and this makes me love her even more. I can't wait to get her

To be perfectly honest, this doesn't bother me at all. It is a well-played out trope for many different stories. If anything, I get from it that the Uchi is a great manipulator and knows exactly what to say to get through to the peppy. It also shows that the peppy actually listens and decides to change their mind instead of losing a friendship. Is it shallow? Yeah. But, there are a lot of people out there who act just like it.

Of course, I didn't really like uchis in New Leaf that much for a long time even if I loved their designs. They seem to finally be a bit better and less demanding in New Horizons.

I just had Muffy and Bonbon go through this same conversation. My favorite was when Muffy told Bonbon it would go bacterial if she started a new trend. Then Bonbon said the hashtag would "explode" and Muffy was worried about hashtags being dangerous.

Yeah. I loved the bit about exploading hashtags, but to me, Peanut just came off as unlikable in it. I am starting to think it really is the dialogue and not the designs that make Peppy my least favorites.
