Moving villager won't ping me?

Like three of my villagers have told me Chief is thinking about moving today, but he hasn't pinged my mayor or my alt. I've talked to him, gone in and out of buildings, reloaded...

I do want him to move. Should I just ignore him? Also, he'd be moving on the 14th if today was the first day that he would ask, right?

Talk to him, save and quit, then he should ping

If you want him to move you don't need to get him to "ping" you. Just ignore him and he will move. But, if you need to find out the date he will be in boxes, save and quit, then walk in front of him. Repeat til he pings. If he pings, then changes his mind about moving, just turn off your game without saving. He'll still move on that date.

Save and quit, skip a few hours and then walk past him if he's walking around. He will ping.

Just skip a few hours and he should eventually ping you.
