Moving Village Bridges

Has anyone had success with placing bridges in new areas? Will the villagers freak out?

I would assume they wouldn't. When you add a new bridge, the villagers think nothing of it.

I guess I worded it wrong. The village is established with three bridges. I'm trying to put up different styles in different locations. It will change up how you get to re-tail and some other things. Was just wondering.

I've moved my bridges a few times, trying to get the right town layout. The only comments I've had from the villagers were positive ones. They didn't mention that it was moved, just "I'm glad we have this bridge," etc.

I had the worst trouble placing a bridge in the same vicinity as Stonehenge. It was always too close to the PWP, so I wasted A LOT of money on Stonehenge just so I could set it close enough to the bridge without it being deemed as TOO close by Isabelle.

IMO, it wasn't even too close. I think Isabelle just finds different ways to tick me off. If I were really in control, she would've been fired already, and Gwen would be my secretary since Gwen is amazing.

I put in another bridge a while ago, and my villagers said nothing about it. In fact, it helped them a lot.

Just be careful because some bridges can't be re-placed back to where they previously were if a villager moved close to the bridge after placing that bridge there for the first time. (... get it? :B)

I removed my own bridges because I learned Villagers will not request the other bridge designs as PWP if you have build all 3 bridges. In order to rebuild one of the bridges (in a newly requested design) I had to remove two lamps, then build the bridge back in the exact same spot and then rebuild both lamps again. Just calculate in advance if you can rebuild it easily. Bridges need a lot of free squares when building them (4 both ways I think) so you might run in some heavy problems if a Villager build their house close by.

But besides that I don't think the Villagers care much though if you remove bridges and stuff.

I have two bridges currently in my town. One is nearby my left waterfall and the other is across town. It's pretty useful, but I could use a third one. I'm afraid a third one might look bad though :c
