I'm not particular about my villagers--I'll keep one from any tier. What I AM particular about their house exteriors!

I got Static at my campsite today, and I was thrilled because Static is just adorable. But then I looked up a picture of his house exterior and wow, I hate to say it, but as soon as he moves in, I'm moving him out asap. That house is just...I can't do anything with it. No amount of flowers or trees or bushes can fix that kind of ugly.

Have you ever wanted a villager to move out just because their house exterior was too ugly for you to deal?

What are some other really nit-picky reasons for wanting a villager to move out, even if you actually like the villager themselves?

I cannot say I've ever been in this point of thought. If I like a villager, then I like the villager, and I've not been petty enough to care about much else. I don't mind what their houses look like, or what they wear, or anything like that. I try to avoid filling their houses up with bugs and fish, but I think that's about it ^.^

Eh, the only thing I think I can call "nit-picky" is that I really dislike the way horses in AC look. Like... with that body, it's not like they're a horse, but some sort of bipedal weird thing with an unfitting horse head .___.

I can't understand moving out a villager you like because of their house exterior. I think Static's exterior is pretty cool like a vibrant shack.

I think you're the only one? I have static in my town and his house exterior is actually cool to me. I like the purple color. The only thing that i decide on whether i wanna move a villager is their looks.

I would probably be fine with it if it wasn't for that...door. And the colors clashing. It just doesn't work with my town's aesthetic. It probably doesn't help that I'm an artist and designer so I'm really particular when it comes to themes and colors.

I am not like this at all but that's because I just go with the flow with my town. I always decorate it with flowers and forget about it. But I know some players work hard to make their town look nice and neat!

However that is an ugly house I have to agree lol maybe putting purple and black flowers in the mean time?

I completely understand. I had to void Kyle because his exterior made my town look like a dump.

I'm not picky about my villagers house exteriors. Static's door looks a bit old and creepy. Maybe you could plant some perfect trees and shake them until they are branchless. Add a nearbye grave yard, and let the weeds grow around the house. It could be a spooky area in your town. You could send Static some creepy or Spooky furniture so the interior matches too.

I used to have Whitney, and her house exterior just looked...weird. I kept her though, because she was kind and sweet to me and I loved her. Fang moved in next to me last night, and his house exterior won't fit in with the theme of my house at all, but I still love him and am going to keep him. In my opinion, what matters most is how much you love them, not what they look like, the house exterior, etc. I'm going to keep all of the villagers I love because like I said before, I think love matters most.

No. I don't do that. I had Static as a dreamy, but I moved him out not because of his house. But because he became boring.

Yo, after all I did to get my bro Static, I'm never letting him go. I paid like 200+ tbt snd gracie items. We're bros. Bros don't judge one another because of exteriors.

If their house is in a really crappy spot, I'd consider moving them out. Otherwise nothing is bad enough for me.

My problem wasn't with Tom's house, but where it was PLACED
It's placed right on these paths I created for an orchard feel.

I'm at that point where, I play the game for the experience a villager gives me. If their house is gross, okay. I don't really care. I just want the company of said villager. I would never just toss a villager away for their house. I'd toss a villager if we just don't connect. I'm confused on how a house can make all the difference in keeping a villager.

I feel like the people who say that exteriors are never a problem have never had someone with the shanty exterior.

Well, I have Kyle and I think his exterior matches him perfectly. I don't think exteriors are that big of a deal honestly. Too much micromanagement for me.

This is an A1 idea !!!

I think it has crossed my mind a few... like wow, their house is ugly... but it doesn't bother me enough, I focus more on their name, species, coloring, personality way before I look at house exterior

I have Papi, and it doesn't actually bother me because Papi is too awesome!

Thankfully I've never encountered this problem because all the villagers I like have decent and normal looking houses in my opinion. Sure some are better than others but I don't think any are as bad as some I've seen. I'm really not sure what I'd do if I loved the look of a villager but hated their house exterior but considering I can be a perfectionist about some things it would probably bother me and I'd have to REALLY love a villager to get over it. =\
