Moving in multiple villagers?

Okay, random question: If one of my villagers moved out yesterday and I got a villager from a mystery island to move in today, would I be able to sell another plot and go get another villager today or do I gotta wait?
I don't wanna glitch something weird or whatever.

I think it only let's you queue up one mystery island villager. Last time I tried, I snagged Avery and then the islands didn't have any villagers until he moved in. I did, however, queue up Audie by talking to her when she was in boxes, even though Avery was already queued up and hadn't moved in yet. Must be two queues.
