Okay, from what I've read, certain trees grow only in certain areas. My question is, could I for instance grow a palm tree and move it onto grass once it's full grown? Or move a pine tree out of it's "cold area" to another areas so I could have a mostly evergreen town?

I'm not sure about palm trees, but I have grown pine/cedar trees in the lower part of my island.

From my experience leaf and pine trees can grow anywhere except on the beach, and palm trees nowhere but the beach.

It's a bit disappointing to me, since I would've loved to have palms mixed in with the leafy trees on the grass near the beaches.

I did see on another site that someone did plant a palm on "normal" ground. They changed the soil to "sand path" and where able to do it.
