Moving a secondary character from one town to another? How, what is kept, etc?

Hey, SO, I have a copy of ACNL that my ex boyfriend got for me a year ago, he was adamant on playing first and and he ****ed up the entire ****in' town, giving some **** ass name, and I can't play as his character 'cause he even ****ed that up ahahah. :[ Obviously we split up a while ago (positive thing, yay!), and I'm stuck being a secondary villager versus the mayor. I recently found out that you can transfer this data onto a new game, as long as it's a blank save. So, I've got some questions!

What exactly will be moved? Will my house be the same, with the upgrades and items and furniture and all that?

Also, when doing so, I'll want to move all my villagers over eventually as well... Anyone have tips on how to do that? I'd assume I'd have the mayor talk to all villagers (haven't gone on the file in a while, when I do it's for PWP), so that they can ping him, and do some time traveling so they eventually all move? If this is the case, anyone got tips for that?? I've only time traveled to get a moving villagers moving date closer.

ALSO, does this by chance work with a digital copy? :O So you can use the same 3DS..? I'd assume not, but it doesn't hurt to ask, eh?

Here, this should answer some of your questions. You'll still have to upgrade the shops in the new town it looks like, because the only thing that moves is your character. And you can have a digital copy, but you still need 2 ds's.
