My vote for the most underappreciated animal species in "Animal Crossing: New Leaf":
The hamsters.
There are eight hamsters. And they're interesting and pretty cute. Even the ones who may strike some as ugly. People at this site love Flurry. I feel that way about both Apple and Hamlet. I also find Rodney a really good, sensitive Smug. And, when I was collecting villager pictures to establish my pictures-themed town ACNLpics, I came across the other hamsters and found Soleil striking, Graham remarkable, Clay with intriguing eyes, and Hamphrey intense but harmless.
The hamsters are an interesting species in "Animal Crossing: New Leaf." It's too bad none of them cracked the Top Tier, at any point, from Hound00med's villager-popularity lists. (If I recall this correctly, the one who came closest was Flurry.)
it's definitely the frogs and anteaters ! my most favourite villager is Jeremiah, and I can't see how others don't like his cute froggy face ! and my favourite animal is anteaters so I love them haha. their bushy tails are super cute
I think the goats and ostriches. As far as the ostriches go, the designs are always super unique and they not actually ostriches so they all unique types of birds.
