Most difficult or frustrating fish and bug to find and catch

I've been looking for the gar for a while now and have not found it yet. It takes a while just to find a huge shadow in the lake, and then I get my hopes up and so far all I've found are arapaimas. As for the bug that has given me the most trouble, it is the tarantula. They don't spawn very often, and when they do, you have to worry about them either biting you, running away, or running into water. So while I continue my search for these elusive living creatures, I'd like to hear from other people which fish and bugs have been the hardest to catch for them.

I guess it is the most frustrating to catch in that if you catch it, you get really frustrated. They are really annoying if you are looking for a ray or giant trevally. I feel sorry for new players who see the shadow for the first time and think "OMG, it's huge! It must be worth a lot!"

I freaking hate sea bass. NO I WANT A COELACANTH NOT 16 SEA BASS!!! It's so fitting that the little saying is "What, you again?" I think they knew what they were doing when they made it that lmao. Also, I can't seem to catch a fly. I've been trying since I got a piece of candy three days ago but so far only ants >.<

Coelacanth have a bigger shadow than sea bass, so they are not that annoying if you can tell the shadows apart (sometimes the angle of the fish makes this difficult to do though). I don't think flies will appear around candy. I think they only appear around trash from the river and spoiled turnips.

Yeah. I found the one I caught at the top of the waterfall leading into the ocean. I thought it appeared either below the waterfall at the beginning of the river or at the bottom of the waterfall leading into the ocean. Finding that char was hell.

I have yet to catch either of the poison bugs, mostly because first I am too scared to initially catch them when I see them, or they chase me, or I scare them, and then they WONT RESPAWN or, the respawn behind things where I can't see them till they BITE OFF MY FACE! Beyond that the fish were all easy for me, and oh the only other bug I have yet to catch is the mole cricket, I hear it, I run, it never pops up, I dig holes, it never pops up. IDEK!

The tarantula and the oarfish took me forever to catch.

Trying to catch a coelacanth was interesting, but mainly because I was trying to do it after I had my wisdom teeth taken out. I managed to catch it though.
As for bugs, The mole crickets took me a few tries.

It would kind of suck if the last bug you needed was a tarantula or scorpion.

not really a hard bug to catch once you find it,but it's god damn annoying when you can't locate it

The char was pretty hard for me too. But I had to restart and I caught it fairly easily this time!! I'm dreading waiting for the scorpion or tarantula. Mainly because they can be tricky, even tho I've never really hard a problem with them.

Nooooo. On my old game the firefly was the last bug I had to catch. It was only hard because I discovered in sept. when they're only available in June. Then my game got stolen.

I have the scorpion to collect in order to finish as for fish it's the King Salmon. It's just a matter of waiting till the time is right. I've never gotten a fly from candy though. I've always had to buy a couple of turnips... wait until they spoil and wait for the fly to show up. Sometime it will with the ants. Just swing and catch the ants - the fly will buzz off and then return so you can catch it then.

For bugs, none really. But for the fish, the Saddled Bichir. I swear I was looking for that fish for a long time!

I misinterpreted the title of the thread. My answer would have been the sea bass because every time I see that thing, I want to throw my 3DS across the room

But anyway, the tarantula is the hardest for me to catch. I haven't even seen one yet

For me I would say the most difficult fish is the Coelacanth and the most difficult bug is the Scorpion I have already caught the Tarantula.
