Monthly or Yearly Anniversary?

We did "month-versaries" for the first year (like going out to dinner/movies/etc.), then we got bored of it....or we didn't even care. LOL :) We live together now and just celebrate the yearly ones, if we remember.

My boyfriend and I do yearly anniversaries, it makes them much more special :3 We have only done silly daily/weekly/monthly anniversaries to wind up another couple who we are friends with who were getting really silly with 'anniversaries'...

Those who call it don't understand that "anniversary" gets the "ann" from annual which means once a year. >.>
THAT SAID
My husband and I did little things on our "monthiversaries" ((see what we did there =3 lol))... every one started out but after the 1 year it was mostly every six months.
Now that we are married, we only did a little celebration for our six months of being married... not sure what we are going to do for our ACTUAL anniversary that is coming up in a couple months. ((yup, I'm a newly wed =3)) but I assume that will probably do the semi-annual and annual versaries up until probably 5 years... just my guess.

Well you can blame that on movies. I don't think people just randomly search for the definition of those types of words, but meh.

How do they remember...? (≧∇≦)
Do they write down the date on their hand or something...?
But i think the idea of an anniversary kind of loses its meaning if its every month XD i think maybe a 6month is okay, but if your like

"NO SORRY I CANT HANG WITH U, ITS MY HUBBY AND I'S ONE HOUR ANNAVERSITYYSIFUBIFUHVI!♥︎
OH EM GEEEEEE ♥︎♡♥︎♡"
Then you might be one of 'those' couples. The ones that are so "cute" that your single friends kind of want to strangle you at certain moments because your partner is ALL you talk about (≧∇≦)

We do small monthly 'anniversaries', just like spend the day together and stuff, so it hasn't been anything too special yet. I'm sure we'll do something when that first year comes around.

When me & my boyfriend first starting dating we celebrated a few of the months leading up to the year. I think we did 3, 5 & 9 months? Idk, it was just a cute excuse to go to dinner together. c: Now that we're going on 3 years, we only do every 6 month intervals. I think it's important to make time for a special date together. No harm in wanting to celebrate your relationship, better then having a dry relationship where you don't even wanna go on a date with the person anymore.

Me and my girlfriend have been counting our anniversaries monthly since the start of our relationship. It's almost at a year now, but we agreed that once we passed the one year mark we would then only celebrate it annually. :9

derned yungins ruinin the meanin a my english languege

no but in all seriousness every month is a little excessive. maybe every sixth months have a tiny semi-anniversary but every month is like no

Man, I don't even remember when my one year anniversary is.

Edit: I asked. He doesn't either. We don't do the anniversary thing.

Monthly is stupid imo.

Oct will be mine and I's like 12th year anniversary, we go on normal dates every week. You shouldn't need something official to go out and care for each other.

Don't really do anniversaries since all we do is eat at the red lobster or bdubs

yearly is really neat tho.

We don't really do monthly stuff any more, but we do try to go out of our way to do something a bit better than normal...like, we at least just try to spend the day together if we can c: I think that monthly celebrations are fine c:

is ur significant other Pokemon X and Y?

(asking for a friend)

Never been in a relationship but I think yearly ones are a lot more special than just random month ones. Wouldn't it get old after a certain period of time? >w<

isn't it called monthsary? people round here call it monthsary

since anniversary>annual>yearly

also I haven't been in a relationship, but from what I can see: young couples celebrate monthsaries cause their relationships don't last as long as a year.

It's a year..

It annoys me too when people celebrate months and weeks.. I mean if they want to fine but.. really?
