Monster Hunter X

I'm getting Monster Hunter X in a couple of weeks too (already pre-loaded on my 3DS)!!
I stayed up last night watching the MHX NicoNico stream and I almost fainted from all the awesome news getting thrown at me over and over again. lol
Are you downloading the demo next week?
 
I love the MH series, but I really don't care for this game. Don't get me wrong, it looks amazing, but from the looks of it so far, it looks like it doesn't have G rank in it, meaning there'll be a MHXG on about a year, which I'm much more excited for.
That said I am looking forward to see what monsters are in the game. I'm pretty happy to see royal ludroth back, as well as Arzuros (who spoilers has a variant bless he needed some love)

Nice! I have mine pre loaded too!

I saw the footage this morning as it was like 3-4am I think for me when it went live. Yeah I am going to download the demo and I will play i for many hours most likely!

Ah fair enough, even if it does not have G rank it will still be amazing i'd say.

I personally like Arzuros' fish slap move greatly amusing and I hope it steals ALL the honey too when you get hit, would be great.

Yeah, I highly doubt this game will have a G-rank in this version since it's more of a best of/tribute game than an actual part of the main series. I'm not even sure if Capcom will even make a MHXG game because I feel like they might move onto MH5 for the Nintendo NX. I do believe the west will get MHX at some point, since the series keeps on getting more and more popular overseas, equaling more money. Anything can happen though, so as always it's best not to get our hopes up... especially with Crapcom.
Even though there's no G-rank, this game will be packed with TONS of content and lots of monsters. I played both Monster Hunter Portable 3rd and MH4 before their current G versions and it was so so so so worth it. All the games are amazing and never disappoint!

Nice, you seem like a dedicated fan of the MH series, like me. I'll be downloading the demo too! I need to get used to all the new play styles before I start the main game. I'll probably use switch axe like I always do. lol
Yeah, arzuros definitely needed an upgrade. It looks like an awesome fight : )

Hey, when the game comes out, want to be hunting buddies? I'll be playing it a lot! I've probably logged over 2000 hours in the MH series since MH2G.

MH5 doesn't even need to be on the NX or even a Nintendo system. Capcom can put the game on whatever system they want since they're not actually a part of Nintendo - but they do have a very good relationship with Nintedno atm so it's a safe bet to say it'll be on a Nintendo system.

And I wasn't bashing the game saying it was bad or anything because it wont have G rank, I was just saying G rank adds a lot more replay value to the game. I know it's still going to be an amazing game regardless, but personally I'd prefer there be a G rank within the games but whatever.

Good point, they could always do one more on the 3DS since millions of Japanese own a 3DS... or maybe they might make it for both 3DS and NX. I guess we'll have to wait and see :)
Haha yup! Nintendo all the way! I can't see it ever coming to PS Vita...
I agree, G-rank does add a lot more to the game. I understand what your saying because most of the fan base goes straight to the G-rank version. I guess I'm just over hyped with every MH game and I want all the versions because I'm impatient waiting for the G version, haha!

Aha yeah gotta get used to the new moves, I am thinking Gunlance because i've personally never used it a whole lot. Yeah sure! I added you back, I have played MHFU/MH3U/MH4/G/U so I am a bit experienced in the world of MH you could say. I still like dying in dumb ways though :p

Mhm, we need to try out all the styles! I think I'll see a lot of playtime going into the demo since there's lots of new stuff to discover. It's going to be so fun to explore the new area (ancient forest) too!
Good luck with gunlance! For me, I'll probably only go for SA, CB, GS, LS, H, and bow. I would say by the sounds of it, you're very experienced in the world of MH :P
 
I found some new MHX leaks from the new famitsu coming out! Nothing super special though, just some new monster variants.

This Daimyo Hermitaur has a harder shell and stronger water breath.

This Narga has a white pattern, that looks like a sharp Blade. It throws sonic waves, as well as inflicting the bleed status just like Seregios.

Actually, there was a mistake made with the translator I was following! I looked over the scans and it didn't even mention anything about G-rank being there or not being there. So, we still have a chance!
I'll post some more of the scans!

Daaaaaamn. White nargacuga looks fine. But I'll go ahead and say it, it does look like these variants are replacing g rank in this game.

You're probably right, since the rathalos variant seemed to be in the air most of the time during that niconico broadcast and since both rathian and rathalos are so similar. It could possibly have similar moves to the pink rathian too... and that poison dripping all over it's tail..... oooooh scary stuff o,o

Ughh gaijinhunter is such a ****, I want to watch the vid but I don't wanna support him. Tbf idc enough to care about these new details atm so I'm safe
