I got this letter:
To kindhearted Gail,
There isn't a bad person out there who likes plants.
My intuition tells me you're especially good at caring for
living things. That's why I'm giving you this present!
Botanist Molly
It had a sweet olive start attached! I didn't know they could do that! I wonder what triggers it, I could always use more starts.:lemon:

Hey, sweet! I don't think I have ever gotten a bush start! Yeah, they would be welcome more often than tee shirts (or worse, tanks)!

That's really cool, congrats! I got the same letter from Kiki recently, but she sent me a bonsai instead. I've only just started to be able to buy the bush starts too, so that would be really helpful...Maybe I'll just have to start writing my normal villagers some more letters.

That’s a super cute letter! I usually save the most unique and sweet letters I receive. That’s definitely one letter to keep forever! And a bush start. Just how nice of her!! ^__^

Never had a bush start, but have had bamboo & persimmons (plus the other types of fruit occasionally) - I got bamboo/persimmons when I was sending a daily letter to all villagers/making an effort with all their tasks/& I was planting trees/flowers.
This happened in all the towns I set up, except for the last 2, where I've been a lot more lazy & I'm not sending daily letters/taking so much notice of villagers.
The gifts came in letters, but sometimes it was given personally in return for completing a task.
