I bought minecraft for the PC today and its my first time playing it.
Pretty new to the controls and stuff but know the basics. Any good tips, jargon and other cool stuff you want to share?
Share your screenshots and other info here.

If you need info, search in the Minecraft Wikia.

In your first nights, make sure to gather wool, coal, food, stone, and alot of wood.
You get coal from mountains or caves. Use the hole you harvested the coal from, and use it as a home for the night. Make sure to put down alot of torches so no monster will spawn.
Remember, monsters spawn in the dark. So before you think of making a giant cave your home, make sure to explore the area, and put down alot of torches. If it is too big, block off the part where you can go down the cave, so while you have space for your camp, no monster can reach you.

Gather three pieces of wool, you can use it to make a bed and skip the night. You cannot sleep while there are monsters nearby, so kill nearby monsters and go to sleep.

Also, eating food can regenerate some health. As well as your hunger bar. Make sure to fill up your hunger bar, or else you won't be able to regen health and sprint if it is too low.

2 ways to get wool.

Worst way: Kill sheep. 1 wool per sheep killed.

Best way: Shear sheep. 2-3 wool per sheep this way, 2 iron ingots to make shears. Right click the sheep while holding the shears. The wool will grow back on the sheep after awhile. Best to herd a few sheep into a pen and shear them every so often.

No not necessary. You just shear random sheep you find. Or kill them if you donr wanna waste time harvesting iron.

Just feel I should point out that you CAN get more than 1 wool per sheep if you kill them. And I always kill them so that I have wool for a bed at the start. Sheers are too expensive before I have better weapons/tools/armor. Then I get a sheep pen and murder any wild sheep I find after that.
