Microsoft's Minecraft purchase

Microsoft bought Minecraft for 2.5 Billion, what do you guys think will be the future of Minecraft?
I just really hope they will still keep the updates consistent across all platforms. I also hope that they won't just suddenly decide to cut support for Minecraft on other platforms other than Windows and Xbox, which they might do in order to break even with that purchase.

I applaud microsoft for the good financial move

I applaud Notch for the good financial move. Microsoft basically bought a indie studio with no other big hits except for Minecraft, whose creative founders even left after the purchase. Minecraft meanwhile, has been released on almost everything already and I have a feeling that anyone who wanted it has already bought it. It would be okay if it was bought for 500 million or nearly 1 billion even, but for 2.5 billion that's kinda insane. To put things in perspective, Disney bought Star Wars for 4 billion.

Aside from a Minecraft sequel, I don't see how Microsoft is going to make their money back on this.
Then I again, I'm not a money expert.

If they make Minecraft Windows only, I'm rioting Microsoft. I've already been through enough with lots of my favorite games being Windows only when I have a Mac.
