Meteor Showers

I just looked at my message board and on Oct 16th the board said
"Weather Report
Today is the meteor shower!
Enjoy taking an evening off to watch the magic in the night sky!"
So the message should appear 'The Day Of' the meteor shower.
It begins at 7pm and I know it goes thru at least until Midnight (I haven't been up past that time to see if it goes on after that).
I don't know why you haven't seen any.
