Memories of Fireleaf - Fruitful Findings

It's snowing outside today, possibly the last snowfall of this winter for Fireleaf. Spring is projected to arrive soon, but for now the weather is frigid as always. I use this time to fill out some paperwork in the Town Hall.
After that work is finished, I spend a bit of time in the Town Hall looking at all the little trinkets. It's a very old building, so I find it is a great place to learn the history of Fireleaf.
Of course, I can't just spend all day inside the Town Hall. After all, winter is almost over so I should go outside to enjoy these last few days before the snow melts.
Robin and I had a lovely conversation about other villagers in this town. It happened to remind me about Wart Jr. prompting me to pay him a visit.
I didn't know Wart Jr. was such a prolific gardener. Even in the winter he still manages to make his hobby work. His house is surprisingly nice. Other than his walls I think he has great taste in design.
We enjoyed some lovely oolong tea, something Wart Jr. is definitely not allergic to. I spent a while admiring his collection of bonsai, each one he had taken immense care in shaping. When I was about to leave, he remembered about a package he needed delivered. Funnily enough, it was to Robin, who was the catalyst to my visit to Wart's house in the first place.
Wart Jr. can be quite sophisticated when he wants to. I'm glad I was able to help them out with this problem.
While aimlessly walking around, I found someone's lost book! I don't recognize the title, but it looks very important. I hope I'm able to find the rightful owner soon.
Being familiar with Moose, I figure he ended up losing a bet with Kid Cat. They're always at it with bizarre competitions.
I decide to pay Canberra a visit. After all, she lost that previous item so she seems like the logical first choice here. I must have been a bit too quiet because she was fairly startled by my sudden appearance.
Unfortunately she had no idea who that book belongs to. I'll have to keep looking for the owner tomorrow.

When Isabelle requests the Dream Suite she will be asleep and the player must wake her up. During this time you can sit in your mayor's chair without having her walk up to you.

It was a long trek, but I managed to get to Moose without too much trouble...
I tell him it looks okay. It's not horrible but it wouldn't be my first choice if I was him.
After he takes it off, a quick look reveals what the problem is.
That's unfortunate. He seemed so excited about obtaining it.
Robin isn't too surprised by this discovery.
After that incident, I found Kid Cat wandering around Bertha's house.
I thank Kid Cat for letting me know about this. Redd is always a welcome sight in Fireleaf. He may be a tad suspicious, but that's a fair price to pay for genuine art.
I immediately run over to Redd's tent. I wouldn't want to lose out on a great deal!
Are you kidding me? I'm 34 bells short? Fine, I'll be right back.
These oranges will be more than enough to pay for it. I hope Canberra doesn't mind me "borrowing" from her garden.
Blathers will be looking forward to when this arrives in the mail.
I have finally discovered who that lost book belongs to!

I decide to take a visit to T&T Mart. Kid Cat has sure been getting around today.
I've seen Kid Cat's fridge. He has enough junk food to feed the rest of Fireleaf for 20 years! I guess he ran out of it again.
I love all your posts updating us on your town! It's so nice to see you interact with your villagers and show us what you get up to

Kid Cat is Leaving (Maybe)!
Ever since the new year, this winter has been incredibly cold. So much that it's really starting to wear on the residents of Fireleaf. Last night was particularly frigid.
I think you should get inside, Robin. Weather like this is not safe to be out in.
I was headed toward Gruff's house, so I wouldn't be outside for long. Hopefully Robin got home safely.
Upon visiting Gruff's house, he informs me of a rumor that has been going around lately.
Interesting. Kid Cat has been complaining about the constant cold lately, but I didn't think it would be enough for him to want to move.
I went to talk to Kid Cat, but unfortunately he was asleep. I guess this matter can wait until later...
Alright, let's see if Kid Cat is serious about this whole thing...
I wish him well in this endeavor. It's been great being friends, but now it's time to move on.
Don't worry, Moose and I will be sure to continue our training.
Is this the end of Kid Cat's story? Definitely not. I have been considering this idea for a while, and I think that now is finally time to do it. Kid Cat is a very adventurous villager, and it would be his dream to travel the world. You can help him achieve this! If you are willing to and have an empty villager slot in your own town, I ask you to let Kid Cat into your town. Take pictures of him doing interesting things such as talking to other villagers or saying something funny. Feel free to change his catchphrase! Change his clothing! Give him furniture to help him remember your town! Then, once he is able to move back into Fireleaf, I will finally move him into a better spot.
Kid Cat will not be in your town permanently. I want him back in Fireleaf eventually. I just think this will be a fun way to involve other people in this thread.
If you agree to have Kid Cat move into your town, please take pictures of him doing various activities. I want to post your pictures of him on this thread as a sort of travel blog.
When you grow tired of having Kid Cat in your town, you should be willing to let someone else into your town to move him into theirs. If this goes well, we could have a relay where Kid Cat gets to visit many different towns.
If you are interested in having Kid Cat live in your town, please VM or PM me about it. I would like multiple people if at all possible, so don't worry if he is already going to someone else. You will have your turn eventually. He will be leaving on the 27th, which is 6 days from now. Make sure you are available then!

Spring Has Arrived!
I wake up to find that a green explosion has engulfed Fireleaf! Spring is finally here!
The town looks so beautiful right now. There's something nice about a new town that isn't very developed. I plan on developing Fireleaf eventually, but I will enjoy these pristine fields in the meantime.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find anyone who would take Kid Cat. I had a feeling that idea may have been a bit too grandiose. I better talk to him before it's too late.
I tell him to stay in Fireleaf. I wouldn't want him to move without knowing where to go. I dread to think what would happen to him... Also, now with winter gone, maybe he will be more open to staying for a while.
I'm glad Kid Cat realized that he shouldn't make such rash decisions. Now we can enjoy this year's spring together!
Just to clarify, I'm still interested in seeing if anyone would let Kid Cat into their town temporarily. I still plan on moving him out to get his house in a better location, so feel free to contact me if you're still interested.
After that conversation, I aimlessly wander around the town for a while.
Paying respects at Snowboy's Fountain. Though Snowboy was never able to experience other seasons, at the very least his fountain will experience them in his place.
The Town Tree looks happy today. Its leaves have perked up for the first time!
Egbert has been having fun today.

Interestingly, I have no idea who this person is. Since Kid Cat was from another town, he had to have spoken to that person while living there. I wonder what the town of Dough is like anyway.
I don't know who planted these tulips, but they have really been flourishing lately.
That night, Bertha and I had a touching conversation.
I notice Kid Cat is home and decide to pay him a visit. I better make these last few days with him count.
Looks like Egbert had the same idea. Upon talking to him, he gives me an Argyle Knit Shirt! My signature look which I have worn since the Gamecube version!
I might as well talk to Kid Cat as well. After all, he is the one I came to see.

March 12 and 13, 2019: Lychees and Truffles
March 12, 2019:
For the first time in quite a while, I have ventured out of Fireleaf. Treetop is a cute name for a town.
While it's nice to get out and see other towns, I have but one objective here.
For some reason there were a lot of villagers moving out of people's towns yesterday. One of these villagers happened to be Truffles. When I saw the thread, I was pretty sure no one else was going to take her. After all, she isn't too popular. I have decided to take her under my wing, making it clear she is welcome into Fireleaf.
I inform her I am in fact not a mover. Even if I wanted to move your boxes, I doubt I would be strong enough to actually do it.
No problem. Moving can definitely be a confusing time for anyone.
I tell her that my town is a pretty cool place.
Fireleaf. Contrary to popular belief, it is not actually on fire... yet.
I'm sure you will be a great addition to the town.
Alright, I'll leave you to find that.
After leaving Truffles's house, I promptly board the next train home.
Back in Fireleaf, I pay a visit to Robin. We end up having some tea together.
After finishing the tea, Robin gives me a lychee as a gift! She probably intended me to eat it, but I have other plans for this fruit...
If this sapling grows, then by summer we will have fields of lychee trees all throughout the town.

Truffles has paid her first visit to Fireleaf today, picking out a plot right below Re-Tail. I'm actually fine with this location, since I don't think the Re-Tail building will end up fitting with my town once I start to develop it.
Also, the lychee tree is successfully growing! I'm always a little anxious about planting the first fruit of a particular type, since you only have one chance to get it right.

This morning Robin and I met to discuss important town matters. Though we certainly have a lot to improve on at the moment, there is one thing of particular alarm. Our only bridge is older than the town itself, and lately it has begun to show its age. Tortimer tells me the thing was there even in his day. It was fine back when there were so few residents, but with the recent boom in population it is simply impractical to keep such an archaic structure.
Robin makes a convincing point. Even when I first arrived, I recognized a need to improve Fireleaf's infrastructure, but had always considered it low priority. I began to think about it more after Gruff talked about building a brick bridge, but it wasn't until talking to Robin that I decided to do something. After our conversation, I now consider it to be of the utmost importance. Of course, such a large-scale project will not happen overnight. Tomorrow I will meet with Isabelle to discuss further plans.
Found Chrissy during my trip to the convenience store.
My goal is to have pictures of every personality type at the different Nookling stores. I can't seem to find much of their dialogue online, so I guess it falls on me to capture it myself.
Truffles has moved her house in today! I think it looks good in front of Re-Tail.

Ugh, I understand how tiring moving can be. Regrettably I am unable to help right now, but I will live your pain vicariously.
Redd is in town again! Naturally I jump at the opportunity to purchase some more artwork.

March 15: Building Bridges
I wake up unusually early this morning. After a quick trip out of town to order some breakfast (I had a giant apple pancake in case you're interested), I rush over to the Town Hall.
Isabelle had already completed a lot of paperwork. Despite this, there was a still a veritable mountain of things to be done. I expected this from such a large-scale project, but it's still very tedious.
Part of the reason for such a heavy workload is that we strive to complete this project in record time. The Robin Bridge Initiative, as it is now being called, has since expanded from a single bridge to a complete renovation of Fireleaf's infrastructure. It was quickly apparent that a new bridge, located close by, would have to be constructed before we would be able to demolish our current one. In addition, Gruff once again brought up his plans to make transport easier to and from the eastern beach. It was eventually decided that three bridges were to be constructed. Such a project has never been attempted before by Fireleaf, so this will not only test our construction capabilities, but also my very position as Mayor.
In only a single day, we are already about to begin construction on our first bridge. Let's hope we are able to keep up this breakneck pace.
This project is also having the effect of increased support by my fellow villagers. It seems that for the first time in quite a while, all of Fireleaf is united on a single issue.

And there we go! It will take a while to collect funds, but the end result will be well worth it.
