I don't think I've seen memes in Pokemon X/Y. I mean, there was one meme I did saw which was in Animal Crossing New Leaf. It was where you could change the catchphrase for a villager into "Cool story, bro" or "Shut up and take my money!"

Memes were there, "my body is ready" at the end of Victory Road. Plenty more, translators getting lazy.
