meme run

The developer, Ninja Pig Studios, has already went down in my book as a shovelware developer. Back when he first made IQ Test, I went into the community and said that this garbage shouldn't have made it onto Wii U. To my surprise, he commented on my post, saying:

"This is a game made for the Wii U console exclusively and isnt shovelware. Its a high quality game and people love it!" (Post link)

Him making this game wasn't much of a surprise to me and I am glad it is gone. I hope he loses his developing contract with Nintendo as I know he'll make another crap game.

Well that proves it.
Gross, I wish Nintendo would stop letting this crap through the screen but they choose to be blind and let it happen "just in case" it's legit and/or for the couple extra bucks in their pocket.

Keep in mind that NinjaPigStudios is one of the indie game companies, which is what Nintendo is actually seeking for. Nintendo of America is technically allowing any developer who are interested on developing games without too much investment as a big company normally would. In recent news, I heard that if that game is considered great by NOA, then it will be advertised more often than others and will be often thrown to the front page of eShop for easier and quicker access. Games that range from atrocious to average quality would normally be still available, but won't be advertised at all, therefore making said game difficult to find on eShop without resorting to a search tool.

Clearly, you can't trust NinjaPigStudios when you have a staff that pretends the game is high-quality, yet the game is obviously a snark bait.

the games not even joke worthy, it's just bad. Good effort to whoever made it though for getting it on the eshop in the first place!!

Surprised to see nobody actually talking about why it got taken off.

Apparently it was over copyright issues - like nobody saw that coming considering the entire game consists of expired internet memes.

Why does one guy own the rights to troll face idgi... literally that's what a couple articles said and I just kinda was like "alright then."

Well it's just like anything else really, it's an image that he owns the rights to. It's not that different from, say, sticking images of Mario into your game without consent and expecting Nintendo not to take action.

The difference is people have been using that face without repercussion for years and NO ONE ever came out of the woodwork to say HEY STOP USING THAT FACE I OWN, the face(s) get used publically all the time. Just really weird that of all times the guy who "owns the face(s)" decides now is the time to speak up, over some trashy ass shovelware for the WiiU.
wat????????

I'm sure someone had to at some point, there was merchandise with those faces all over the place, like so much crap everywhere. I doubt this one guy was in control of everything that's ever happened with this face. Well, whatever, it just seemed like a weird time to bust out and get mad someone used the face.
Thank god the game is gone, let's hope they don't patch it with "legal" material and bring it back.

Maybe he just thought it's a bad game and didn't want it to exist, so used his power as 'owner' to take it down. T-shirts might not have bothered him.

In retrospect, the game creator had a game on the eShop.

Ya'll didn't.

Yea but if that ended up on the eShop, that just makes me question the quality control for indie games on Nintendo.

At this point, it feels comparable to bragging that you have a game on Steam...In fact, no. This would probably not even get Greenlit on Steam, and that's really saying something.

I could too if I wanted, I'm already in their dev program, it's not that hard to get Nintendo to say yes to you. It's not some great feat like it once was.
Point is it's easy to get past the pearly white gates to get into troll the eShop if you take a few days time.
