I LOVE 0.9 LEAD
I never have to give it to anybody and it hardly ever snaps because it's so thick

Definitely mechanical pencils. I hate regular pencils, I just really hate the feel of them. I also hate sharpening them.

Am I the only one who actually enjoys sharpening pencils? I bought myself a decent sharpener so I don't worry about dodgy sharpening and it gives me an excuse to get up and stretch my legs :P Plus I've seen this really cool art were someone sharpened the lead tip of their regular pencil into words :3

Eww, I do see the benefits of mechanical pencils but I can't stand the skreeching noise I hear every time I write. I just feel like everytime I hear it I have to roll my eyes back open my mouth and make a loud grunting noise.

omfg this was actually made, omg, this forum man, anyway, i prefer normal pencils, they're more comfortable in my opinion and i'm the type of person that pushes hard whilst writing so mechanical pencils always snap for me

plus i always get distracted and end up pretending to inject myself with the pencil ahahahahaha loser

Normal pencils. Can't stand mechanical ones. What's up with the sharpener hate? All it takes is 3 twists with a good one.

omg im not the only one???

i "injected" some "polio vaccines" into my arm with a "really big needle" (really long mechanical pencil lead)

Mechanical pencils are a pain in the a$$!!! All they do is last a couple weeks before 1. The eraser fell out and went missing or is all used up because they are so small, let alone picking at it like I do, 2. Because the spring mechanism always fails, or the thing at the end of the pencil that holds the lead in place. No matter what brand I have tried, it always happens. Pretty much, it won't hold the lead in place after awhile you push down to write and it goes back into the pencil. 3. The lead doesn't last very long, and is easy to break and lose. Ugh. Can't stand mechanical pencils. Please, just let me buy a good hand sharpener (trust me, they definitely exist) and sharpen my regular pencils whenever I need.

Mechanical all the way. I can't say I have ever had problems with them, and I love the forever sharpness.

Mechanical pencils because I feel like a part of my soul dies when I use a regular one.

Regular.

I just can't write with a mechanical without breaking the lead. ಠ_ಠ Even when I write "gently" with the lead as short as it can get.

Never seen a mechanical pencil in my life. Nobody seems to use one in my school.

Mechanical pencils, 70000%. Regular pencils break all the time, and then you have to go sharpen them.

Regular. Whenever I use a mechanical, the lead breaks because I always squeeze the pencil too hard. :P

Mechanical.
1. They work for scan-tron tests.
2. They're easier to use
3. The eraser can't do the thing where it gets to small and you can't do anything about it.
4. The sharpeners at my school are utter garbage.
5. They look cooler.

I think there's ups and downs to both.

For mechanicals, yeah, they don't need to be sharpened, but if they're not made of good stuff, you've got to be easy on them or they'll break. And when the lead runs out, it's easy to get more, but it runs out a ton faster than a regular (depending on the regular you have). Also, your eraser runs out faster, and it's more likely to fall out, AND you can't even use half of it since you'll need to pluck the thing out with a pair of tweezers when you're done, or you might as well throw the whole pencil away. Or, to be safe, only use one-fourth of the thing so you can pluck it out with your fingers and stick a new one in. And let's not forget the many differences in lead size that honestly don't matter. (Size doesn't matter, hehe)

Regulars are beautiful depending on the kind you get. If you get a good kind, the lead won't break and the sharpener actually sharpens it, instead of breaking the thing a thousand times and by the time your lead's half-decent it's so small you might as well hold it with the same pair of tweezers you accidentally broke the mechanical with trying to get the stubby eraser out. And don't get me started on the kind of regular with the eraser that doesn't even erase and leaves smudges everywhere. But hey, any old regular is good for chewing habits. ;)

Regular Pencils; because we're not aloud to use Mechanical on tests. Whenever I use mechanical pencils they all run out, the eraser gets too small for me to take it off, or I just have bad luck with them. I can get a pack of 10 for a dollar, but they all run out in 2-3 days. Regular Pencils are just as annoying, though.
