Mechanical. I hate sharpening traditional pencils & my writing ends up looking super messy when I write in pen.

Regular pencils, the brand I get makes them out of recycled materials so I'm not killing trees. Mechanical pencils always feel weird to me...

Mechanical pencils because when they get dull they don't have a fat dull tip, their tip is always the same size.

I always use pens but I guess I like regular pencils better cause they're less annoying and you can always just get the kind that uses recycled material, if you're worried about saving trees.

Mechanical hands down. Especially #9 lead, mainly because no one else uses it so they can't ask you for lead.

Regular pencils get dull and the size of the lead changes. Plus you have to sharpen.

Mechanical pencils because regular pencils are a pain to sharpen and I always feel like I'm getting splinters from pressing too hard on the end while writing. I don't have to worry about that with a mechanical.

mechanical

i hate sharpening regular pencils lmao the point always breaks and sometimes it does that thing where like it wont sharpen all the way around so the wooden part is up to the tip of the lead and you have to hold the pencil at a certain angle to write.......

Mechanical :3 especially .5 ones ^^

I like a more fine tip pencil because when it wears down, it's not all thick and becomes a 1.2mm pen :P Obviously you can only have #2 pencils on the ACT, so when I got to the writing portion, my writing was barely legible due to the thickness of my lead. (I went threw all my 4 pencils :P)

I didn't think anyone else used 0.9 lead :'D I always find it funny when people give you death glares when you tell them you can't give them any.

I never even knew mechanical pencils had a name, lol .. I thought they were just pencils :p

But I prefer regular pencils generally 'cos they don't snap off if you press too hard :p

I only use pencils to draw, and I use mechanical pencils unless I'm using a sketch pencil or charcoal or something. I love mechanical pencils. I just don't really like using regular pencils anymore, I have a tight grip so they hurt my hand.

mechanical pencils because it saves trees and theyre cooler and you dont have to sharpen them and you can take out the eraser and buy more lead and they can last forever and they don't get shorter.

why do they even make normal pencils anymore

mechanical for regular doodles

if i were to do serious traditional art i would use regular pencils, obviously

Mechanical pencils for accuracy and the avoidance of the dreaded broken pencil. I have also found that 2b and2h leads work quite well with my art. Saving trees is a nice bonus.

mechanical

idk why I converted to mechanical pencils a while ago and ever since I actually have a hard time using normal pencils

tho lol @ it saves trees, it aint savin **** until they severely halt the production of wooden pencils. just bc u got a plastic lead holder in ur hand doesnt mean the factories stop producing the wooden ones, talk 2 me about saving trees when the majority of everyone converts to mechanical and the production dies down

It makes it so much easier. No losing lead to greedy, yet forgetful, people.

Does anyone here actually care about saving trees?
There are tree farms. We aren't really deforesting for paper supplies. The pollution from manufacturing should be the concern.
