You, yes you. I'm talking to the mayors that took up office within the first three months of New Leaf's release(June/July/August): Where are you now and what are you doing, Animal Crossing-wise?

Me, I founded the original Memoria on launch day (June 9th, 2013) and played with it right up until early 2014 when I somehow had convinced myself that I did not like the town layout, even though it was amazing now looking back. I started over in the town of Evermore, but that didn't last one and I soon started over again... and again... and then faced a few digital town corruptions. Needless to say, my history with the game had been a mess.

Back in April, I told myself that I,

A: Was going to make revive Memoria and,

B: Make it the best possible town it can be while simultaneously trying to collect as much stuff and do as much as possible.

Since then I have clocked another solid 200+ hours into the game (Nearing 1200 hours total now) and am enjoying it as much, if not more, than I did when the game launched over three years ago. And with the autumn update coming in the next few months, my playtime and activities in-game are going to increase.

afraid i don't have a photo, since the first photo i took was taken on june 10th, but i got my first copy of new leaf on june 9th, 2013. the town name was cloudluv (don't even ask what i was thinking lmao), and the mayor's name was harmony. the town still exists, i've never reset it, but it's now used as a cycling town. when it wasn't a cycling town, i didn't do much with it. i time travelled a lot to unlock things, which kind of spoiled the fun of the game for me. i bought a second copy in 2015, due to me wanting to start over.

my main town is now Clarity, and i've done a lot. unlocked a lot of badges, did a lot of landscaping, and i'm actually sort of happy with how it's turning out. Clarity is nowhere near being completed, but i like it.

and once Clarity is all done, i'll be loading up my third copy of new leaf, and turning it into a winter town.

Catlips is still crankin' away after three years plus and Gaston and Bree are the only villagers left from the original group of nine but I reacquired Biskit so that makes three still left...sort of.Anyways, since then I've done a lot of cycling, and added some more towns along the way.I've also been stockpiling fossils and pitfalls for the impending worldwide apocalypse...ooops....probably shouldn't have said that....

I made my original town Tenshi on December 13, 2013. Still lives to this day with pride :')

I know this is about the first three months, but I feel the "first days" vibe in December 2013, too ^^"

Me and my sister shared a town until I got my own copy when my cousin did and all 3 of us all made new towns. My sister and I had our town until April 2014 and we started it in August 2013

Here I am! Started my town a day before European release date. I will try to share my little ACNL journey tomorrow, when it isn't as late as it is now. :^)

Mayor Reina started her lovely town of Rakuen on June 9, 2013. I still have that town , but I don't play in it very often these days.

UGH I bought a new 3DS, and asked Nintendo how to transfer my Animal Crossing game to the new one, the game transferred, but my town didn't... :(

Just took this screenshot with my below average quality webcam, I started playing in October 2013, but I've been playing all the games in the series since I was about 3 years old I think

brb going to go and cry in a corner and reassess my priorities

okay i'm back and i decided ac is an irreversible choice

aw i dont have pictures frick

i remember tho my mayor was named candy and the town was Kiwai
i think i started it somewhere around october 2013

I've restarted about 10 times and put over 4000 hours into this game. I'm getting to the point where I'm completely done with it. I'll drop it and go back to the gamecube version like usual. That's what I've done with every Animal Crossing game. Play it to death, ditch it, then go back to my favorite.

I started Balamb on June 23, 2013 and it's still going strong. I'm working on redoing all of my landscaping and trying to make the town look as nice as possible (since I screwed up and placed my perma-PWPs in really bad areas), but I've had the town too long and I have all of my villagers already.

I started my town on June 9th 2013 with intentions of completing in by the end of 2014. Due to some problems in RL I put the game on hold for a while. I'm still trying to complete it but it's been a very slow process.

I bought the game on June 14th, 2013 and I deleted my first town an hour after creating it. I always had a bad habit of erasing my towns, especially if I've been away for a while. My current town was created on May 23rd, 2016 and it's the town I'm proud of the most.

Thanks for giving me the motivation I needed to actually go back and work the dates out and look at those first photos. Some details I never forgot but a lot of things (like that pastel green hair) I had utterly forgotten lol!

My first town, TreeTown, was created on the 15th of June, 2013. I had the AC 3DS XL on preorder but that has being shipped internationally and I couldn't wait any longer so I bought a physical game card and borrowed a friend's 3DS while waiting for my own to arrive. I don't have any photos that I can find from those first days unfortunately, if I even took any at all they would have been wioed wiped once I returned my friend's 3DS.

The earliest photo of anything from this town I could find was taken on my AC 3DS XL on the 4th of August 2013, when I created Caliope to fill the character slot left vacant when I migrated Petal across to my new town to be the Mayor :

27th of October 2013 has the first photo I have saved on my 2ds, when Brewster's opened :

My second town, Clown, was created on the 7th of July, 2013 when I migrated Petal across from TreeTown :

I think I've spammed enough photos so I'll leave it there. I stopped playing AC for awhile (over a year) due to RL commitments. Both towns have most shops unlocked and such but I've only just started considering "themes" and "path laying" so they are still quite au naturale.

The break has left me with renewed enthusiasm for the game, which combined with ill health leaves me plenty of time to ponder what I want to "do" with my towns. In reality I'll most likely try out some paths, remember I don't like doing chores like that, and turn to landscaping and placing PWPs for awhile and that's as far as it will go. I admire the heck out of all the amazing themed or planned towns out there, but I don't have any burning passion to carve out a masterpiece town of my own - let alone two.

got new leaf as soon as it was released (my first 3DS game ever too) and started Da Hood V1. played that with my boyfriend for about a year and a half logging over 500+ hours into my first town. realized i hated my map and villagers.

started all over with Da Hood V2. played that town a year alone (boyfriend was over new leaf at this point despite being the one who introduced me to this game, thus creating the animal crossing monster i am now ;_; ) and completed my entire museum/encyclopedias for the first time! super proud of myself. suddenly realized i also hate V2's map.

got a new 3ds last year, let my best friend have my old 3DS and introduced her to new leaf (this wasn't her first animal crossing but she still loved it) and started over for her so we could build up our town together! Da Hood V3 at this point! finally love my map and love what my town has become c: !

I started on July 7, 2013 and have almost 3300 hours logged. I have three towns now - the other two I've reset once each, but I'd never dream of resetting Achewood and it's still the one I play the most (although I can see myself semi-retiring it once I finish some final goals, like completing my catalog and earning my last couple badges)

NL was my first AC game and I bought a 3DS specifically to play it, which was such a crazy decision in retrospect but I've never regretted it, this game has really changed my life in ways I couldn't have imagined (as lame/overdramatic as that sounds....!)

Still in my same old town. :) Man I can't believe it's been over three years now. Time flies.
