May Day won't start?

It's May 2nd now and May Day still won't start for me...
I got the news on my bulletin board earlier this week, but once the first rolled around, Isabelle nor Tom Nook mentions it when I speak to them?

I'm all updated and my time is synced / online, but I can't get it to work!

I'm worried the most likely cause is because earlier this week, I had missed a few days due to intense school schedule, and so I technically TT'd to catch up on the days I missed up to April 30th (I never went forward past current IRL day, just caught up the days I missed)

Is there a way for me to fix this? I had this exact same issue with Egg Day (I didn't even TT then, but I did have airplane mode on without realizing it so I could only assume that was somehow the cause) and so I missed that holiday as well. I really don't want this to be a recurring issue, any advice? Should I contact support?

Did you speak to the Dodos? They are the ones that have the special ticket, though it's weird Tom doesn't say anything

I did yes, there was nothing different than the usual options

Did you try talking to Tom first? I went to talk to him first and he informed me about the ticket. So I think you need to talk to Tom first and then the dodos.
