This thread will definitely not be spoiler-free so anyone that flips through the replies can expect to see whatever is going on in the most recent releases. For the sake of this being the OP, though, I'll put the questions I have about this plot under a spoiler tag in case some of you haven't had the time to read this week's releases yet.
In general over the whole arc I'm also curious to see, whose side are you on? When I take tests on moral choices I almost always align with Carol, but somehow...I'm feeling Team Tony for this series. I think it's because in this situation, we can't actually be 100% certain in Ulysses' abilities--as far as I'm concerned, it's only a probability of a possible future and shouldn't always be taken as totally accurate.
Okay so I need to get a few things straight:
Based on the fact Bruce said he hasn't been the Hulk in a year, then Amadeus Cho has been the "Totally Awesome" Hulk for about a year. In fact, he was even present during the fight with that whole Celestial being that everybody fought in Civil War II #1.
And yet, most people seem to forget the fact that Amadeus is the Hulk. Can't blame them, Bruce has been it for the longest time and based off of the new comics, Ammy doesn't come into contact with the older heroes a lot (in fact, he'll be forming a new group with some of the younger heroes when Marvel NOW launches!)
So I suppose what I'm trying to say is...Wasn't killing Bruce in CW II #3 totally unnecessary? (About as unnecessary as bringing Rhodey back to the comics just to kill him but that's another can of worms) His gamma powers were transferred to Amadeus, meaning he couldn't have "hulked-out" at the time that Clint shot him. Clint claims he was able to see it better than anyone else can, which prompts thoughts about Bruce's illegal experimentation, and of course more questions and cliff hangers that'll feed into this plot as we wait out the weeks for more to flesh out.
Important highlights being:
- Was it really Bruce's Hulk that Ulysses witnessed killing everyone?
- Could it actually have been Amadeus?
- In fact, how the heck is Amadeus going to react once he finds out Bruce is dead?
