I like the other smug deer better - Zell! Lopez is ok I'm just don't really like his design that much
(I don't like how some villagers have 5 o'clock shadows ,it looks really weird to me .)
Chadder is my favorite smug, I'm not really sure why, I'll admit I'm not too keen about most of the mice in AC, but Chadder has such a cute design a nice home interior.
Marshal, Marshal, Marshal! I'm so sick about hearing about him all the time! I used to like him a lot at one point, a few years ago. I thought maybe his popularly might go down after awhile, but nope I was wrong. I'm so sick having to see him in ever other dream town I go to, and just seeing and reading about him in general.
I wish there was a smug cat (maybe the Amiibo update may finally give New Leaf a smug cat. )

I can relate to this. Yes, Marshal is undoubtfully the most popular villager in the game. I really don't know why he's so popular among female players. I know everyone's entitled to their own opinion and I don't HATE Marshal. He just seems plain to me. There are so many better smugs than him (IMO) like Eugene, Lopez, Zell, Phil, and a few others.
I also want a smug cat in the future, but I would REALLY LOVE a smug kangaroo. I'm sure he'd be my favorite smug. I would be cool for them to add new villagers to the update so we can get our smug cat and kangaroo.

Lopez is amazing. I had him for quite a while when I first started new leaf. Let him go to try out some other smugs but I intend to get him back at some point once I decide it's time for Julian to go, or Marshal maybe.
He's definitely underrated

Marshal is still hella cute but my fave smugs are Julian and O'Hare. I love starry skies and Julian is just... fabulous. So how can I not love him?! Then theres O'Hare. First off his little hat makes me happy. Second off, I love his catchphrase "amigo". It just makes him seem much more vivid. Third off, the beach themed house? Heck yes.

I really like Lopez too though! I just haven't had him in my town yet. :0

I agree that Marshal can move over but my boi Pietro is the greatest sumg (in my opinion).

Zell is not only the best smug but the best deer imo. He's one of my best friends in game next to Stitches and Roscoe.
