Marmite: Love it or hate it?

What exactly does marmite go on

It's an acquired taste so I don't blame people who try it once and don't like it. But I also don't get why people complain about how horrible it tastes when they spread it on toast like nutella - that's not how you do it!

I prefer vegemite over marmite though :x

I've never had Marmite. I think I might like it though. I've heard people say it's salty and I like salty things.
