Is this a contender for VC? I always wanted this game. I would totally buy a Wii points card if this came out.

Umm, sure, eventually. Perhaps to tie in with a potential Mario Party 9...?
Hmm... I was thinking about that, buying a recent Mario Party.. haven't had one since 5 (maybe 6?).
Of course, without Wi-fi it will probably raise chance of suck by 25%.

If you don't have 6 I would suggest it before 7 or 8 (even 9)

Umm, there is no Mario Party 9 yet. I'm just saying IF there is one, Nintendo could tie in a few VC releases with that.

As long as there is a beat in Nintendo's heart, Mario Parties will not stop.
Mario likes to PARTY HARD
BTW, Mario Party DS is a good choice among the latest Mario Party games.
This is true, actually. I harbored a rather vehement hate for all the uninspired GCN installments (and still do), but the DS game was actually pretty good. It felt like one of the N64 versions.

The Wii version was a little better than the DS version though.

It most certainly was not. Mario Party 8 was, imo, one of the worst in the series.

Have you played the GCN versions?
The GCN versions were terrible compared to the others.
By the way, I've played all the Mario Party games except the N64 versions and Mario Party 8 is the best followed by Mario Party DS.

Seriously, the DS version is the best in years. It has everything the several GCN versions, and Wii version, lacked.

C'mon, Snoop, I thought you were a reviewer? Can't you see how uninspired the Wii version is?

What did the Wii version lack?
In my opinion, the Wii version was stellar.

I've played all the Mario Party games.

the N64 ones >>> DS one >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GCN ones >>>>>>>>>> Wii one
