When I was younger and playing Wild World, I always seemed to bond best with the female villagers (and cranky guys). But now the characters are all slightly different, and I find myself liking more of the male villagers. Klaus, Ken, and Static have all been nice to me from the very start. Cranky characters are my favorite, though I would hardly call them the local curmudgeons anymore in New Leaf; they're all pretty mellow.

Try Teddy. He's a Jock but he doesn't have the workingout24/7-dialogue

There are others but these are my main favourites.

My favorite males are Octavian, Zucker, and Pietro

I made sure to have a balanced ratio of male and female villagers and at least 1 from each personality. I picked Tom because he has been in all my towns since WW and I love him and then I just picked Rudy, Kabuki, Punchy, Lionel. I love all of them personally <3

My favorite male villagers are O'Hare, Hans, and Ricky. The ratio of males to females is 5:3 in my main town and 4:5 in my secondary town.
