I'm thinking of attempting to try the 3-day cycle challenge in Majora's Mask 3D. For those of you who haven't heard of it, the Majora's Mask 3-day cycle challenge is where you only give yourself three days (six if you count the first three days where you are stuck as a Deku Scrub) to beat all the dungeons (You don't need to get the masks or all the upgrades and bottles and such). Now it was possible in the N64 version, but in the 3D version, it is apparently impossible to complete this challenge, due to the fact the inverted Song of Time only slows time by 50%, and the N64 slowed it by a bigger amount. Also, apparently, Deku Link doesn't run as fast nor does he skip on water as fast as the N64 version. The problem with all this is that you need Epona to move forward to Great Bay, BUT, the only time you can obtain her is before the first night begins. So you have to beat the first two temples (Woodfall+Snowhead) AND get the powder keg to Romani Ranch all before 6 pm on the first night! Now this was possible in the N64, but people are now saying that it is impossible on the 3DS...

So I was wondering, has anyone somehow done this challenge and successfully beaten it on the 3DS without any glitches???

Tbh, it doesn't seem possible. But you don't have to beat woodfall immediately. You just gotta get the bow and then you gotta go beat snowhead and get the powder keg and then you can go get epona. But that probably still doesn't give you enough time.

Also it may be possible to get the powder keg by getting the fire arrow and go to that big gorons cave. But I've never tried going there until I brought spring to the mountain but I know there is a big ice wall in front of his cave but idk if he lets you do the powder keg thing.

You are right about maybe not having time for these, but this is interesting, especially about Woodfall. It might not give me enough time, but it worth a try to help get Epona quicker :) Thank you for the info!
