Mail system stopped working

Hi everyone -
I recently hacked my town, and everything worked fine, except now my mail system isn't working. It seems to be working for my newest character, but not for the other three. Whenever I order anything from the catalog, it doesn't end up in my mailbox. And I'd really hate to have to hack my game every time I needed something not in the store. Any ideas?

Discussion on game hacking isn't allowed on the Bell Tree Forums, so I doubt many people are familiar with the process and the subtleties that could go wrong in fixing resulting game glitches ><. Good luck regardless though!

I've heard people saying that their mail stopped working when they changed their town hall or train station colour.

I don't know how true that is and I have no idea how you would go about fixing it :/
