I'm pretty sure he's a hurt dog, there used to be a joke in the UK that went something like this.
"Lost Dog, only has one eye, three legs and a chewed off ear, answers to the name of Lucky".
Although putting in Ancient Egyptian items in his house could mean he's possibly a mummy, or Nintendo are trying to get us at it.
