Lowest Test/Quiz Score?

I think I got 10% on a calculus quiz my first year of uni. Which is ridiculous because I got a 4 in AP calculus, essentially a B if I had taken it in uni. (I took the calc 2 in uni as a requirement for my degree).

The teacher was fired after my semester for his complete disregard for what is sequentially appropriate for first years taking math. Day one he comes in and goes "I don't cater to all of the stupid degrees that are forced to take calculus. I exclusively care about math majors as they are the ones that support my paycheck for the classes I actually enjoy teaching. I will teach this class to give them a head start into what later years math will look like. I could care less about little degrees like nursing who simply don't have what it takes to be great at math, the concept of mathmatically intelligent nurses baffles me". I'm not kidding. That is a freakin quote. PS, I'm a nursing student.

The class average was 51%, however the school after reading his final bumped everyone by 35%, under threat of being sued by the families whose kids were in premed for ruining their chances of getting into medical school with a grade so out of line with their actual ability.

Mine was 43% in a Maths exam. However, I remember distinctly getting a score of 38% in something, but I'm not sure what. Maybe History?

The 'less smarter 'people are probably refraining from sharing their scores (due to embarrassment maybe?) and the smarter people are willing to share their scores to make themselves look smart to people here.

Honestly, I think it's less that and more that some of us had pretty big expectations put on us by our families. I did, at least. I had a catholic family, where our grades were expected to be As and Bs, and I was the third child who had the standards of the first two to live up to (which I did not, really). Getting anything C or lower revoked privileges such as TV and spending time with friends and more time spent on doing homework and getting the grade back up. I didn't even want to take AP Calculus, but in freshman year, it was suggested by my teacher that I take two math classes during Sophmore year so I could take AP Calc in senior year. It was a lot of pressure, but my family would not let me turn it down.

Anyway, everyone has their own circumstances. If it came off as "smarty pants smarty" then I apologize, but please don't make assumptions about people without knowing.

I just find it annoying people posting 'anything less than B is bad' regardless of your standards. It's like us who actually struggles are really bad. And tbh I wouldn't give a **** about parents just do the best I can

I didn't see anyone's post say "anything less than a B is bad". We're just sharing our lowest. And no one is pointing out anyone's scores here and making fun of them or any such thing. There's nothing wrong with struggling and we all have faced our own problems and challenges over the years. That's a lot of needless assumptions.

I was referring to an older similar thread. But it's like competing in being elite with scores lol.

Like one of the other users on here said, I was expecting more. 75% is a score that I'm not used to. I'm not afraid to be embarrassed. It's just a quiz. I still passed math (thank god) so I'll just forget about the whole thing.

I was just sharing my lowest score. It's really nothing to brag about getting a 75% at all. I feel deeply offended, saying that I shouldn't be upset about it at all? Anyone can feel what they want to feel, and honestly, getting a 75% is NOT pleasant on my standards.

Really? Do you think that behavior is appropriate? How do you think I feel right now? Happy? Excited? No. Honestly, I never thought someone could be that offensive. How do you think this affected me?

I would take a look at your so-called standards. If you set them yourselves, take a chill pill and revise your life. If by your parents, get realistic with them and get help.

I'm sorry but I actually recently got a 75% on one of my tests. And I actually feel grateful, I know that opinions differ but you should not be expecting such high grades, especially when you hit the latter part of middle school and onward. There is no need to be acting like that, if anything you are only making the situation worse by posting stuff like that.

Anyway my lowest grade was like a 6x% on a small quiz and I was confused and I didn't know what was going on. Seeing as how there are people that got low scores on stuff I'm not sure if I'm just really lucky or I'm forgetting something.

Jun wasn't even offensive, stop being a child.

Study harder next time if you're upset with a 75 and move on with your life.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with having high standards for yourself. Just like there is absolutely nothing wrong with being proud of a grade someone else would consider "bad".

It isn't about wacked out priorities or revising your life, which quite frankly was a much ruder statement than anyone has said to you. The grades you should be proud of are the ones you try for. If you tried really hard and got a 75%, be proud because you worked for it. If you didn't put 100% in and got a 75% when you know if you put in a few hours of studying it could have been much higher, you shouldn't be proud.

There is no reason to feel personally attacked by people who have an easier time at school expressing that they were disappointed in a grade they received. Disappointment with oneself is a personal thing.

Considering how they posted seemed to make them be very elite smarty-pants and not give a **** about the rest. Even if you are better you could explain better why you even posted this if you think it's so good/bad.

I got a 40 on a pop quiz in English today because I didn't do the reading last night. It hurts because I'm in honors, so I know I can't do any extra credit or make-ups. I should have expected this though, I don't have anyone to blame but myself :P

I'm going to go with because she received her first "bad grade" and is upset, looking to confirm with others that this is a normal thing so she doesn't feel alone in her disappointment? I don't think it was to maliciously call out people who have different standards of a good grade.

I think I've had a bunch of zeroes too. We have a system going from 1 (best) to 6 (worst) and I definitely got at least one 6. Not sure if I've ever handed in an empty sheet but there were quite a few tests that I gave up on as soon as i saw the questions. It was awful at the time but I don't care much anymore. Nobody's going to ask you about that one time you failed your math test.

I got a 30-something on a SOHCAHTOA test in Geometry freshman year, lol.

ive always thought that those were easy, haha.

ive gotten a few 60s-70s so far this school year and its only the fourth week hhaha..... my lowest score in like ever was a 20 (which was a week or two ago). they were on chemistry notes and i didnt take them down because i had them online (my tecaher uses edmodo) and so i failed but i retook it for a highest grade of a 70, which is alright. i would get really sad when i got a 60 or smth last year, esp in biology, to the point of crying (because i am a baby and weak) and now, i just push them out of my mind (and sight).
