Lost HHA points over a teddy bear

My main room in my house is the pink and white cute series. The other day, Redd was selling a cute, cream Mama Bear, and I figured she'd look great in my room. (And she does!)

This morning, though, my letter from the HHA said "A gentle reminder... There are quite a few things strewn about in your first-floor main room. You know you can store things you aren't using, right?"

So... I'm not allowed to have a teddy bear in my room? Why even sell it if it gets complaints from the HHA for using it???

BUT- and this is important- you don't ALWAYS get that message, even if you're actively losing points for that. I'm guessing you have other items that are getting you points off, and the teddy bear was just a coincidence. I have teddy bears in my main house and have NEVER gotten that message.

by putting your diys on a table, then using the clean up feature on your construction app u can actually store your diys in recycling. just keep in mind it can only hold 60, so don't fully fill it so u can still get random stuff from it

I used to be proud for my ever-increasing points, but now they just send the EXACT same letter EVERY WEEK - Something about having everything the same color to increase points or some garbage. I don't WANT everything to be the same color. I did change up my main room to all green and brown cuz i just wanted to change it, tho.... hopefully i'll get more points for that. Unless they just think nothing looks good if there's more than one color element. Stupid npc's.

That's way too much effort- besides, I use the recycling to store cardboard boxes for when I may need them for DIYs.

Yah, I never pay much attention to it. I like to unlock the new furniture, but that's about it. But I've never cared much about the HHA and didn't expect to in this game, either- I just decorate how I want and always have. One thing I noticed though that I think is really dumb- if you have a flawlessly decorated home you never would want to change... you lose points for that every week. That's ridiculous! For most of my characters my goal is to "finish" their house and rarely redecorate. I don't plan on continuing to change things up once I'm happy with what I have.

You can unlock things like a wall pennant and trophies by getting high enough scores.

I mean, seriously, where are we supposed to put extras we want to trade or sell? If we dump that all outside, our town rating goes down. But if we dump them inside, we lose HHA points. And storing them in recycling is convoluted and risky. We just can't win!

as others have said, the teddy bear shouldn't have any affect on your HHA score if you "placed" it. it must have been a "dropped" item or diy you forgot about somewhere 0: but in general, HHA can be quite nit picky and annoying :<

If you're looking for extra HHA points beyond color, feng shui, and furniture set matching, you can catch a Koi and then display it or Lucky Cats, gold wreaths, and the gold trophies from the Bug Off and Fishing tourney (plus the HHA gold trophy if you've earned it. Plus of course framed villager photos. And I think the Zipper toy from Bunny Century gives you some extra HHA bonus as well.

I don't pay any attention to HHA.
Out of all things to keep or throw away, I wish they had done away with it. The letters every Sunday are annoying. I think I got all the items and achieved a high score, so wish they'd stop nitpicking. (I probably don't have all the trophies, but I don't display trophies anyway.)

I wish the HHA were extinct, or I could block their absurdly annoying mail, telling me to not store items on the floor.

I don't want HHA items, or their approval.
