I just forgot the very key information that while it is okay to jump foward a few hours to check the turnip price change at 12, going back to the normal time will make all turnips rot. 
I spent over half of all my bells on those haha, not too bad since it was about 350,000, but the main part is missing out on the nice profit!
The worst part is that I knew that going back did that, but for some reason I was a bit dumb and thought, ‘I’m just going foward to check, not back,’ not thinking that I when I set the time back, that they would spoil. Not my brightest moment haha.
My fault totally on that one, let that be a lesson to not be impatient I suppose!
Edit: I ended up going back to sunday, bought more turnips, and went to current time again with unrotted turnips now. Gotta stay positive!
