Actually, I can catch a chingling in Y, so I don't even need Bank. You don't need Pokemon Bank for anything unless YOU yourself want to transfer Pokemon between your game cartridges. Are you just starting the game? I can offer assistance as well

Ah I see, thank you for explaining it to me! I'm just starting X, but I've played pokemon sun before. and only traded pokemon once haha, so i wasn't sure if it worked the same way for all pokemon games & how the pokemon bank worked. Do I add you as a friend first then we log on at the same time on PSS to trade?
