Looking for an updated villager list please!

I'm recently back into ACNL so I'm a bit rusty, currently trying to determine my dreamies although most are probably still the same. I'm unsure if the lists I've been looking at are up to date since the WA update, so I'm looking for one that includes all the new villagers preferably with pictures!

Also with the new villagers are they obtainable in the usual ways, or can they only be moved in with Amiibo cards or something?

Here's a couple of lists.The first list has all the villagers from every Animal Crossing game plus all the new Welcome Amiibo,Sanrio and Amiibo Figure villagers.The second list has only the new additions(Welcome Amiibo,Sanrio and Amiibo Figure)but unfortunately the links to the pictures don't seem to work.

The Welcome Amiibo and Sanrio villagers can be scanned into your town with the card but the Amiibo Figure villagers require the corresponding Amiibo Figure.Also,the Sanrio and Welcome Amiibo figures can't be adopted from boxes from another town.

Okay thank you! So the new villagers won't just move into my town out of luck? Can people trade them or are Amiibo cards a must for these new villagers?

The new villagers won't move to your town as a random move-in.The 50 Welcome Amiibo villagers can move to your town either by scanning their card or adopting them from another town.The Sanrio and Amiibo Figure villagers can move to your town only if you have their card or Amiibo figure.....they can't be adopted from another town.

Okay thank you! Using the first list you gave me rn and it's so helpful, I forgot how many villagers there are that I really like!

Sorry this is new and confusing to me - so are the Welcome Amiibo villagers different from the Sanrio and Amiibo villagers? Or are the Sanrio and Amiibo villagers included in the 50 WA villagers?

For example I really like Julia - which type is she? I'm interested in possibly getting into the whole Amiibo thing if they don't cost too much but haven't used Amiibo before! Also I'm assuming the WA villagers that are tradeable are higher/highest-tier?

The 50 Welcome Amiibo villagers are villagers that appeared in earlier Animal Crossing games but were not originally included in New Leaf.Julia is a Welcome Amiibo villager and you can adopt her from another town.

The Sanrio villagers were originally intended just for the Japanese market if I remember correctly but since Amiibo cards aren't region exclusive people in other countries started buying them.They are not part of the 50 Welcome Amiibo villagers.

The Amiibo Figure villagers are not part of the 50 Welcome Amiibo villagers.Some of the figures required to get these villagers are kind of hard to find now...and a bit expensive.

One more thing:If you don't have one of the new 3DS machines(New Nintendo 3DS,3DS Xl,2DS XL),you'll have to get a separate Niintendo NFC reader to use Amiibo cards with an older 3DS/2DS.
