i haven’t had a camper in almost a month and i was curious if there was anybody else who has equally terrible luck with the rng 😭

i think the longest i’ve gone without a camper is 2-3 weeks; not exactly terrible but i definitely wouldn’t mind them being a more frequent occurrence since i always get excited whenever i have a camper aha c’:

It's just probability not going your way. The best the probability gets is 20% chance at 6+ days since your last camper. It's absolutely possible to have bad RNG and not have a camper for a month or more.

IMO they really need to fix those percentages. It's too low.

hm I think maybe 2 weeks for me. I've found all my dreamies pretty early on, so I don't really need there to be a camper often 0:
though off topic but i wish the campsite tent was always set up ;u; it looks nicer that way..

i agree!! i hope the fall update makes the rng a little more fair like what happened with the island visitors but i can’t imagine that’s a huge priority so for now it’s wishful thinking 😔

If I'm remembering correctly, the longest I've gone sans camper is 10 days or so. I believe this was in July. From my understanding, I agree that I find the inconsistency in logic between campsite visitor and villager move-out chances a bit odd (i.e. with villager move-outs, the longer you go without someone asking to move out, the higher the chances of someone moving out with the bad luck bonus). Full reference here.

I've gone about a month. I really wish they increased their spawn rate in a future update. I guess they figure with NMT it doesn't have to be as frequent. It be cool if they increased the frequency based on your town rating as another reward for a five star town

that would be nice! it makes sense that a town with a higher rating would attract more campers...i’m really low on nmt after helping a friend find dom so for the time being i’m relying on my campsite to bring in new villagers 😔

Longest? Three and a half weeks. But ever since the Version 1.2.0 update, I've gotten one at least once a week, perhaps one every 8-9 days.

i was getting campers more often after the update which made me think maybe they made the spawn rate higher but i read somewhere on the forums that the update didn’t change anything about the probability of getting a camper so i’ve just been unlucky 😔

On average I would guess roughly one per week. I wouldn't consider myself lucky though...I've yet to have a camper I actually want. The gorillas LOVE my campsite...

Last camper I had was over two weeks ago, and it was Pietro. I think he left a funky clown stench in the tent, forcing all other potential visitors to stay away.

Side note: I hate clowns with a passion. Bleh.

LOL clown stench. Priceless...

I don't remember fully how it works, but I think after 5 or 6 days it's about a 20% chance per day to have a camper.

Like everyone else here, it seems like two weeks is the average for me to go without a campsite visitor. Not that I mind. If you're not a time traveler, it's an inefficient way to get the villager you want.

My island must be under some embargo because I haven't had a camper in weeks. Sick of spending obscene amounts of tickets just to find new villagers.

I've just TT'd two years and didn't have one for six weeks.

Before TT'g, I had only had about four campers since april after amiibo'g in my villagers.

Longest for me was around 2 weeks on my first island, not sure about my second one as I just started it and only time traveled a bit forward where I got the forced as well as one regular camper so far. I wish I would have more luck finding villagers I like via the campsite rather than wasting NMT and time on island hopping.
